Meet our happy Ohana. Twins Ava and Ryan and our little surprise Brandon sitting with Mom on the putting green in the backyard. Halloween 2011. We have since moved up Pupukea (15 mins away) and are lucky enough to have a nice, quiet, friendly couple to take our place in the lower unit. However, I am always available for any issues that may arise.
Chris purchased this apartment in 1992
Quiet, family oriented, flexible, super cool laid back owners who go to almost any lengths to make your visit AWESOME!
Enjoy the private hot tub with ocean and mountain views.
My wife and I treated ourselves to an anniversary celebration in Hawaii. We are so glad we chose this apartment. It has a great vibe, excellent location (close to things but quiet). The unit was very roomy and it was August so a bit hot. The A/C was a wonderful relief although we enjoyed the breezy air flow of trade winds, and the bed was very comfortable. Best part was the clear nights in the hot-tub enjoying the meteor shower that Christina, the owner was so great to tell us about. Will definitely stay again!

I stayed here on my honeymoon, so maybe there's a ton of bias already. We loved the location because it wasn't a hotel, but it was still very clean and had all the amenities. Great kitchen and bathroom, all clean and working. Laundry could be done there too. We enjoyed that it felt like it was private even though it was a second story unit. Also, the access to the jacuzzi was probably the best part. A warm jacuzzi on the roof at night to the stars and the sound of the ocean was a perk. The pricing wasn't too bad for such a location in hawaii. We were close to a lot of the fun on North Shore. Right near Ted's bakery, close to sunset beach and kawela bay. It was excellent. Just a walk from the beach too. The people living downstairs were really nice and kept convo short but still were hospitable. We were there in March when it was still a bit chilly, and we could close the windows to keep it warm and open them up during the day to let some air in, and it was perfect. I'd stay again.
Also, the owner was a great guy. Kept in good communication and didn't get too much in the way either. We actually left a pair of earrings there, and he found them and mailed them to us. Pretty honest guy.
We stayed here for 10 days. The location was perfect for us. My husband surfs and the break near the suite was perfect this time of year. The neighborhood feels safe and is very quiet (you can't get away from the roosters no matter how high end of a place you stay so just bring ear plugs). The bed is very comfortable. The ceiling fans and high ceilings helped keep it nice and cool. Having a washer/dryer was great, especially since there isn't really any place to hang your wet clothes. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have some kind of a clothes rack to hang wet bathing suits and rash guards, etc. There are hooks down by the gate entrance where you wash off the sand, but having a rack, even a portable IKEA type, closer to the suite or deck would have been handy. There is a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave and a BBQ but we mostly ate at the food trucks for lunch and had leftovers for dinner. The Foodland and trucks are a short drive away near Shark's Cove. About 20 minutes on bike. Ted's is just a 5 minute walk. The place is clean and tidy, but not pristine (dusty fans and ledges). Which was fine for us, but some people may have issue with that. The man living below the suite was super helpful. The suite also had a beach umbrella and boogie board we could use. (They now have two boards since we left ours there). Overall, the location was great. Quiet and comfortable suite. The place was as outlined in the owner's description.
I cannot give a review of this property high enough. Location is awesome. Just out of all the craziness of Sunset Beach and pipeline but only a couple of mins on the push bike or 10 min walk. Velzyland surf break is 1 min on bike. Also found a nice place to swim even when surf is massive along the bay there. As for the property,.... Fantastic. Clean, quiet, which is really important to me. Bed is so comfortable. Fans in bedroom and lounge. Beautiful warm shower. Has a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Washer and dryer. Spa pool on roof wonderful. Owners very helpful and warm. I love this place and will definitely stay here again. And you should too, you won't be disappointed. Everything you need to make your own meals. It has a really good vibe. A beach house in beautiful hawaii, what more could you want. Stay here, but not too many of you, I don't want it booked up when I want to come back. Thanks Chris. A wonderful holiday.
This home was perfect for what we needed and a great location. It was very roomy and a great place to go home to after having a fabulous day at the beach! Chris was very accommodating and so easy to work with; one of the best owners we have run in to. We will definitely be back.
We loved our stay here. We walked to teds bakery for breakfast everyday. And we took surf lessons at shark cove which was really close. This place was nice, well equipped and had fans in the bedroom which was nice. The bedroom was really large , the Beds were soft and the neighborhood was quiet. I'm a really light sleeper and slept great here. I would love to come back here again.
In addition to the close proximity to all the great beaches and surf events, we are short walking distance to the Famous Ted's Bakery! Although they are known for their Chocolate Haupia Pie, the Macadamia Nut Cream is a must to try!
