About the property

Quiet, central, large apartment, up to 3 bedrooms, max. 7 people + baby

Quiet apartment with morning and afternoon sun. 3 bedrooms or 1 or 2 bedrooms (depending on the number of persons) and a living room. One bedroom and the living room look into the pedestrian zone, the other bedroom looks into a courtyard with a large horse chestnut tree.

The pedestrian zone ensures a quiet, almost village atmosphere in the center and keeps the car noise at a distance!

The typical Viennese Biedermeierhaus was opened in 2009,

The apartment in 2011 generalized.

In January / February 2017 the apartment was adapted again. In doing so, suggestions were also implemented by your previous tenants to offer you an accommodation with a cozy Viennese flair as the basis for a relaxed city holiday.

Spacious apartment for couples, ideal also for travel groups or families with children (the baby bed and the baby highchair will be prepared for you by prior arrangement free of charge).

A TV (cable reception) with a selection of films (DVD and VHS), family and children's games and Internet give you the opportunity to make the evening at home comfortably.

The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave, water cooker, toaster, various coffee machine (es).

Myrthengasse is the perfect starting point to explore Vienna on foot or by public transport.

Public transport in the immediate vicinity:

2 subway stations, 2 bus stations and 1 tram station (U3, U6, 48A, 13A, 46).

The inner city (historical center), museum quarter, natural and art history museum as well as opera and castles are easily accessible on foot.

In the streets of the Spittelberg you will find a variety of restaurants and cafes as well as smaller and larger shops (alternative shopping street Neubaugasse, pedestrian zone Mariahilferstraße).

A generally-maintained park with a modern children's play area protected from dogs is located around the corner of the pedestrian zone Myrthengasse.

Theaters (Spittelberg, folk theater, Burgtheater, etc.), dance (dance quarter and impulstanz festival), kinky and cinemas are in the immediate vicinity numerous, without long distances by car or public transport.

City maps and information material are in the apartment for you.

From November to March, I can provide you with a parking space in the house for 7 € / night.

If you can not meet the stated date of arrival, please let me know by mail or by phone (also with Whatsapp). In case of delay I ask for call, SMS or Whatsapp / Wire message at the earliest possible time.

The prices are for 2 persons and toddlers under 2 years.

Each additional person will be charged 10-15 € per night depending on the season.

The tourist tax of 2.5% is displayed in the price, but is to be paid in advance or on arrival. You can find more details in my shared folders, which contain many helpful and detailed information.

Many comfortable seating in all rooms. In the apartment you will find city information, a library, a selection of DVDs and games. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet for a family to cook (microwave and gas stove). Basic food left in the kitchen or providedFree (spices, coffee, sugar, rice etc). Espresso and filter coffee machine (and coffee filters) are on site, a Tchibo coffee capsule machine complete with capsules is available only when ordered in advance. Bed linen, 1 towel / person (more if desired), dishtowels, tablecloth and slippers are included in the price. For small children (babies) I present to you for free a cot and a highchair available. Since these need preparation, I ask for pre-order.

Lots of Space, cool building, great location

My wife, 18 year old son and 17 year old daughter spent 5 nights in the flat. The location is very convenient to getting around Vienna, either on foot (short walk down to the Museums) or bus, and it appears to be a very nice/safe area. Lots of restaurants/coffee shops and it seems like more of a family part of town.

The apartment is very large, with comfortable beds. Our two older daughters could not join us on this trip, but the flat could easily accommodate six close people.

The kitchen is tiny, but well stocked, and there are several grocery stores in the area.

Paul went above and beyond answering all my questions, and was very pleasant.

The reason I only gave it four instead of five stars is the building is hundreds of years old, so it can only be cleaned up so much. We loved the charm of the building, with its wide old staircases (lots of steps, but each only rises about four inches) and architectural features. I just do not want someone to read this review and be disappointed, expecting the Ritz.

It is a great value, and I would certainly recommend staying there to all but my most pickiest of friends. I hope to stay there next time I am in Vienna. Thank you Paul for opening up your great flat.

Spacious, with Great Location!

Family friendly apartment. From the beginning communicating with Paul was a pleasure, he promptly answered all our questions during the planning stage and was there to meet us when we arrived. The apartment is very spacious and offers a lot of closet space and dressers. We were traveling with our adult daughter and having two separate bedrooms made our stay very comfortable. In addition, the living room offers even more sleeping spaces. The location was perfect, a short walk and you are in the museum district and city center. The neighborhood offers everything you need, market, restaurants, etc..We definitely recommend staying here if you want a comfortable, family friendly place.

We loved the apartment. We were really impressed how quiet the nights were. Very clean, very comfortable. Nice restaurants for every meal right around the corner. Walkable distance to the center of Vienna. Enjoy!

The apartment is located directly in a nice pedestrian zone at the Spittelberg with a Biedermeierlichen street atmosphere.

The surrounding area offers an excellent infrastructure:

Public transport is a 1-minute walk from the apartment. You can find all well-known sights of Vienna quickly and easily reached by public transport (bus, tram, metro).

On foot:

7-10 minutes walk to Mariahilfer Straße (Vienna's largest shopping street), 1 minute walk to the Neubaugasse (Vienna's alternative shopping street); West train station.

 7-10 minutes walk to the Museum Quarter (MUMOK, Kunsthalle, Leopold Museum, Tanzquartier, Scenetreff) as well as to the art and natural history museums.

10-12 minutes walk to the Ring (Parliament, University, Burgtheater, Staatsoper, Heldenplatz and Burg as well as a variety of historical parks) and to the inner city (historic old town);

The Old Viennese Spittelberg Christkindlmarkt, famous for traditional craftsmanship, punch and delicatessen specialties, is only a 5-7 minute walk away and has opened for you from November!

The Christmas markets on Maria Theresa Square (between the natural and the Kunsthistorisches Museum) and the Karlsplatz and those of the first (Rathausplatz, Freyung, Am Hof) are all easily accessible (comfortable walking distance).

New building is a colorful district with a multitude of small shops, international restaurants as well as traditional Viennese Beisln (restaurants) and numerous internet cafes. Your day and evening program is ensured by close to the main museums, theaters (theater and dance), the opera and many theaters (in this environment many original language cinemas). In the evenings, you can have a leisurely stroll or visit one of the many restaurants.
