Almost impossible not to relax, whether it is in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn, the rocking chairs on the front porch, or inside the four bedroom home.
Cherry cabinets, a huge island, stainless steel appliances, Pottery Barn chairs and kitchen table, and an awe inspiring ocean view are but a few of the amenities in the oversized kitchen. From a Kuerig coffeemaker to classic Blue willow dishes to funky sea glass blue and green color accents, the kitchen will be a favorite place to hang out.
Outside a new gas grill and a propane fired lobster pot will make your lobster feasts a pleasure to not only enjoy - but to prepare. And speaking of lobsters, our local lobsterman delivers lobsters to you on the dock (Tuesdays and Saturdays only, 10 lobster minimum. Don't worry if you can use 10 at once. They stay quite nicely in the trap in the salt water hanging from the dock.)
The living room captures the best views of all with massive windows and just enough elevation to provide a panoramic view of the water. A wood burning fireplace, white slip covered sofa, a game table, comfy leather chair and ottoman, wood floors with sisal rugs, and funky fabrics and art work complete the room.
The house comfortably sleeps 8. More than 8 requires owner permission.
The master bedroom is huge and has a king bed, walk in closet, and its own bath - new in 2014.
The guest room has painted wood floors and antique twin beds and down alternative comforters.
The bunk room has four twins (each with their own light), a wild green stripe and a matching cow. Kids are sure to love this room where each numbered bed has a corresponding hook and drawer.
The 'Wallpaper Room' features - you guessed it - old floral wallpaper, one of the last vestiges of the 1970 renovation. With a day bed (with trundle which makes into a king) and an armoire, it functions equally well as a bedroom or a study.
A second bath was completely gutted and features all new fixtures - except for the antique painted dry sink with an unusual top and new vessel sink.
The screen porch is large with wicker furniture, tables and chairs, dart board, new ping pong table, board games and cards. It is a great place to lounge - or feed your entire group.
An outside shower is the perfect place to wash the salt water from your skin or experience the simple joy of showering with nice hot water in the middle of a rain storm.
There is WiFi and 1 HD basic cable TV.
