About the property

The Mulino-Rotone is an ancient stone building from the 16th century. Century., One of the oldest buildings in the area and the oldest oil and flour mill in the region around Castagneto-Carducci. The spacious house belonged to Count Gherardesca and housed in the old days five farming families, the mill and farmed. Today, the Mulino-Rotone is owned by the German painter and author Karin von Jutrzenka Trzebiatowski-Gilliam, who lives year-round in the beautifully restored country house and is the contact for their guests. The house includes five individually furnished apartments of various sizes, as well as two guest rooms. They are lovingly restored, the charm of the old wood-beamed ceilings, cross vaults and the terracotta floors remained intact. In Mulino-Rotone there is a 120 sqm large hall with cross vaults and excellent acoustics for concerts and festivals. The most beautiful farmhouse has been described in several picture books and articles.
