One of the most scenic beaches in Southern Maine is only a short walk away from this Phippsburg home, the perfect retreat for families, couples, and groups of friends in search of rustic beauty.
Conveniently situated half a mile from Fort Popham and nine miles south of central Phippsburg, this cozy cabin is down the street from a gorgeous neighborhood beach reserved for residents and guests.
Beamed ceilings and knotty pine walls create a warm and atmospheric living space, while a cable TV, DVD player, VCR, film library, and wireless Internet provide plenty of modern comfort.
The full kitchen is spacious and recently renovated, and even features a dishwasher to handle any messes. There's an intimate breakfast table for four as well as a large dining area for six in the sun porch, where guests can enjoy their meals with a panoramic forest view.
Spend your summer days boogie boarding in the surf, strolling along the beach, or competing in a badminton tournament back at the house. In the evenings, rinse off in the outdoor shower and fire up the grill for a fresh seafood dinner.
The Popham Pines Beach Retreat can accommodate as many as seven guests. The three bedrooms feature a queen bed, a full bed, and a twin and a pair of bunkbeds, respectively. There is also one full bathroom for guests to share.
Ideally located in the midst of a wild and secluded region, this cabin will give visitors easy access to Maine's most interesting history and landscapes. The Seguin Island Light Station, the second-oldest in Maine, is only a ferry ride away, while the fascinating Maine Maritime Museum is only 15 miles north.
Whether you're interested in exploring Southern Maine by land or water, this charming cabin will make your vacation dreams a reality.
Water Access: Beach and water access to a private, secluded beach for neighborhood residents only. To access the beach walk out the front door, make a right and follow the road down and make the only left on a public road (little dirt road after big cottage on left) and continue through the dune grass to the most gorgeous beach on the Maine coast.
