About Evan Westcott

We are currently living in Bellevue, WA. Operating West Corp Construction we have extensive experience in custom construction. Our dream was to build a lodge in Leavenworth to spend weekends and holidays. So we created Na-Mu Lodge to entertain our family and friends.

Evan Westcott purchased this lodge in 2015

Why Evan Westcott chose Central Cascade Mountains

Na-Mu Lodge is a short walk to downtown Leavenworth, and there is hiking and biking right behind the lodge. We worked extensively on the design to maximize style, comfort and privacy while at Na-Mu Lodge.

What makes this lodge unique

We love the views from Na-Mu Lodge. The modern mountain architecture will draw you in. Ultra comfortable memory foam beds with give you a great night sleep. The chefs kitchen is ready to take on your baking or cooking and there are two grocery stores just minutes away.

We loved our stay at NaMu! It was a perfect house for multiple families with kids ... and a dog.

  • 5 of 5

The views were spectacular and the house was really well maintained - most comfortable beds ever!! We loved the swings on the porch, the hot tub, the bunk bed room, and the open kitchen / living room. It was our pleasure to stay for the week and we hope to be back soon.

Beautiful Lodge close to Leavenworth

  • 5 of 5

This is such a beautiful space and perfect for large gatherings or small groups. We were a party of 20 for 2 nights and had a wonderful time.

Although the place is well stocked I would recommend bringing more pots/pans if you plan on cooking for a large group. We also brought our own comfortable reclining chairs for the patio and lawn for star gazing. We fought over the hanging swing chairs on the patio...they were a big hit!

The homeowner was very responsive and a good communicator. We would stay there again. Thanks Evan!

Excellent spot for a large group

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at NaMu Lodge during an intense heat wave for a staff retreat. The space was beautiful and ideal for a large group like ours. We utilized every room, including a separate bunk room not attached to the home. It didn't feel too cramped and the entire space held up in the 100 degree temperatures. Jessie and Evan were super helpful and communicative during a few hiccups (the air conditioner leaked and the power went out for just a few minutes). They were quick to respond and these small issues didn't impact our stay. And if none of this sells the NaMu Lodge, then just look at the view from the kitchen, balcony or master bathroom... :)

Nice stay overall

  • 4 of 5

We had a big family reunion here with 18 people and had a great time. The house and the setting are beautiful, and the great room was a wonderful space to gather. There was plenty of room for the whole group to share a meal around the big table and not feel crowded. However, there are some things that were overlooked that would have made it more hospitable - for example, there was no bath soap in the showers, no dish sponge, and some rooms did not have a bedside lamp. Also, if you are considering using the detached unit, be aware that there are no shades on the windows and no cooling unit, so you'll be hot and will wake up at the crack of dawn. In summary, the place is big on style, missing a few details, but overall a nice place to stay and accommodates a large group.

Amazing winter getaway!

  • 4 of 5

My friends and I (a group of 18 people) came here in late February for a winter getaway and it was absolutely magical! The cabin is very nicely decorated, cozy, well-insulated, and just plain beautiful. We loved waking up to the view of the mountains every day and having lots of space in the common area to hang out as a group. The house was large enough so that we did not feel cramped together at all. In fact, it felt very spacious and comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked with nearly all basic essentials for cooking, and we took advantage of the grill outside for one of our dinners. I would come back to this property in a heartbeat.

Check-in and check-out was possibly one of the easiest experiences I've ever had in renting a property. There is a lockbox outside the property and Evan had sent me the code days before the trip.

Evan was also incredibly responsive. He was very quick to answer any questions I had leading up to the trip, and even gave me a quick call-back when I had a question upon checking in. I really appreciated his attentiveness!

My only reason for making this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the driveway. Winter in Leavenworth can bring lots of snow, and thus ice. I felt like the driveway could have been better maintained for safety reasons - it was quite icy (a couple inches at the least) and made for some challenging/risky treks getting in and out of the house. We tried breaking the ice in several areas for over an hour to make the parking situation easier.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. We do employee a contracted driveway plower and snow blower. We are located in the mountains and it snows heavily here. We do our best to maintain the driveway although there is only so much we can do. Mother nature puts feet of snow on the ground and it slowly builds up by the end of the season like this instance. Thanks for choosing Namu Lodge

Beautiful lodge and property

  • 5 of 5

we rented this lodge with a few other families and it was perfect for a weekend getaway. each room had its own private bathroom, and even though there were so many of us, it never felt crowded. We were able to cook breakfast for the entire group in the nice kitchen, which was well stocked with pans and utensils. The property was also perfect for sledding, and just a quick drive to town as we didn't want to trudge through the snow. Would definitely stay here again!
