I'm passionate in what I'm doing with the Emerald Lake Chalet.
When I read guest comments that they have enjoyed their stay and want to come back,
that's very rewarding.
Rosetta Klassen purchased this chalet in 1979
This property is one of a kind. Swimming and fishing at the door.
My family has owned property on Emerald Lake since 1960. It's been a great retreat for my six children and grandchildren as well as our friends. Bellingham is minutes away where many activities, shopping and gourmet restaurants add to the wonderful lake setting apart from city life.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity and beauty that was our Easter away from home (Australia and England). We all had a wonderful time relaxing at your magical chalet and soaking in everything it had to offer. We will always have the memory of BBQs and wine and beer on the deck. Thank you again!
the house was very nice and we all enjoyed the lake and kayaks. It was sunny and we had so much fun on the lake and taking walks and runs and also had a nice fire down by the lake. I will be back.
The chalet was perfect for our family get together. The view was lovely, and it was very quiet yet close to town. Our only complaint would be that we had to purchase firewood. The description said the firewood was provided. When we arrived, which was very late due to a very delayed flight, there were only 3 large pieces of wood. There was no way to build a fire with it. Being it was Jan. The chalet was chilly. We looked for a wood pile and did not find any, and had to purchase wood at the store. If the description had stated that we were responsible for getting wood we could have bought it on the way in.
Other wise it was very lovely and would stay there again.
Traveling to Bellingham for sad occasion; this was the perfect space to rest and refuel with friends. Beautiful spot on the lake. Home had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend to friends! Communication with owners easy with quick response. Would help to know that entry door was not the door on 1st landing. Need to go to top of stairs. Figured it out after a bit. Great place!
What a fantastic setting and location you have! We were thrilled to get to stay in your home on Emerald Lake. It was very clean, bright and well-maintained. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay, including a canoe ride and cozy evenings around the fire. It feels so beautiful and private, yet is very close to town. You were very kind to let us stay an extra day on short notice. You were also very prompt in replying to any questions I had. I will not hesitate to return and also recommend this property highly. Thanks so much.
Loved it!! Chalet was exactly as it was described on website and more! Views from decks spectacular as was the paddle round the lake. We live in a rural location without street lighting ourselves & therefore it was like a home from home. Loved watching the various birds coming down to feed. As we were over for our sons wedding it was great location for entertaining other friends/family who had made the trip (including the couple in the studio) as we would have done back home.
If we have the opportunity to return to Bellingham will be looking to rebook here if available.
Lovely, peaceful place to stay. Close to Bellingham but with the beauty of a rural cabin. Lots of fun canoes and kayaking on the lake. We would definitely stay here again!
