"Thanks again for an amazing unforgettable experience at Paradie Found. My girlfriend and I had a blast. Costa Rica left an impression on me as much as I left an impression on it."

This new site is amazing!!! I can't wait to go to Costa Rica on Tuesday, it is going to be the best vacation ever!
This was great for our family! We had three seperate families with kids that were young. The pool was great and it is just a short walk to the beach. Short hike to the waterfall and saw monkeys on multiple occasians on the property. The host, Sonja, was amazing. She was very informative and helped us with everything beforehand and once we got there. Would definitely stay again! I would recommend a rental car which Sonja can help with. We didn't have one when we went 4 years ago but did this time and it makes a huge difference being able to get around.
Great unique compound for a family retreat with some room to spread out. Three structures and a pool right up from the beach. A little on the rustic side but no complaints for the value. Owner and local manager were a pleasure to work with.
The property is wonderfully located, very close to the beach--just walked down path and another 25 meters took us to the ocean. Our hostess, Sonja, was more than gracious, providing essentials for comfort and luxuries for a nice surprise. We loved having the ability to cook since we had six family members with us.
Our rooms were spacious and fully stocked with all we might need for cooking and playing on the beach or in the pool. Our granddaughter was in the pool every morning at 7. We all liked the water slide.
We had visits from howler monkeys, hummingbirds and various lizards. The grounds were beautiful and the grounds keeper was careful not to intrude.
The property was close enough to Pacquera and Montezuma for a short drive, but to give us a feeling of seclusion.
Great vacation in a wonderful facility. Very high praise and certainly would stay there again and recommend it to others.
The owner was very helpful and responded to our questions very promptly. We actually booked 4 night and loved it so much we ended up staying 7 instead. The place is absolutely amazing. Sonja met us and showed us our villa, she is very accommodating and gave us ideas where to eat, shop and explore. We were greeted with a basket of goodies, which was great because we didn't have to go to the store until the next day. The setting is "Paradise Found", the gardens around the villa are beautiful and Wilson the gardner was very kind and kept the garden and pool areas immaculate. The spot is very secluded but yet close to a beautiful white sand beach (100 yards), restaurants, hikes, parks, tours, etc. The living area was clean and spacious and we loved the kitchen with doors that lifted up and opened up to the deck. We had a private pool with a slide right outside our villa and used it everyday....We could hear the howler monkeys at night and seen several white-faced monkeys in the tree around the villas. The birds are spectacular, we would have coffee in the morning and watch the birds off the deck. We went on a river tour with Carlos and saw crocodiles, Red Macaws and several other animals and birds, and then he took us to a local home where we had a wonderful lunch. We went fishing with an awesome guide "Octavio", caught a 30 lb. Cubera Snapper and a couple of 30 lb. Rooster Fish, he also took us on a snorkeling trip the day before and we had a wonderful time, lots of fish and an amazing lunch on the beach. We went to a couple of parks not to far out of Tambor. Shopping is about 10 minutes away with plenty of grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. We ate at several restaurants in Montezuma, St. Teresa & Tambor. We are thinking of going back next year for a month and bringing our family with us. It would be a great place for all ages! I would absolutely recommend this place to my friends and relatives, it is "Paradise Found"....
We spent about 10 days at the Tango Mar compound in Mid February 2015 together with a group of five adults and four children. The property allowed everyone to have their own space with four separate homes, all joined by paths through the jungle. The pool area was fantastic and we spent hours in the water from sunrise until late at night. There is also a barbecue area and we had a few dinners and lunches all together around the picnic table. The pool and the gardens were always impeccably maintained.
Sonja, our hostess, was very helpful and knows the area very well. She can answer any questions you might have and advise on where to go and which traps to avoid.
The beach is a short walk through the jungle and is one of the most beautiful beaches around. During our stay, it was quite rough and only the stronger swimmers dared to enter the water.
There is a lot to see and do in the area and we visited all the local beaches and towns. Santa Teresa is about 40 minutes away via a dusty road and there are incredible beaches and great restaurants. We spent a few afternoons there then stayed for dinner. Montezuma is about 30 minutes away and also has a few restaurants and shops. Worth a visit but we much preferred the scene in Santa Teresa.
We made two trips to Curu National Park and spent one day on Tortuga Island. Highly recommended, just watch out for the overly friendly monkeys.
In summary, we had a great time at this property and although it is a little far from the hotspots in Santa Teresa, it is very good value and the perfect location to spend quality time with friends and family.
We just spent 10 days in Costa Rica, one week at the lovely Paradise Found. This property is an impossible to beat gem! Although cliche, the pictures do not do it justice. The grounds, pool and gardens are impeccably maintained and beyond beautiful. The 3 (yes 3) houses are all charming, comfortable and all bedrooms air conditioned. A short walk through the jungle path brings you to either the Tango Mar beach bar and grill and/or the beach. It is BEAUTIFUL! the waves can be dangerous...play in them in the morning. The house is the perfect launching place to discover the Nicoya Peninsula, but you may not want to leave. The pool is amazing. We were greeted with lovely welcome baskets and a few staples in the kitchen. Bring your own toiletries, including bar soap for the showers and shampoo/ conditioner. The property manager, Sonja was a delight to work with. She checked in with us every morning and arranged our excursions with local people. We experienced the area without any hustle bustle, lines or crowds. In fact, in this area, we had amazing privacy and were really able to immerse ourselves in local culture. We definitely recommend getting the GPS with your 4WD rental...there are no street signs. Also...once you turn onto the road to the property, it is ROUGH...don't worry, you'll get used to it.Try ziplining at Suntrails, boogie boarding, Tortuga Island, a relaxing day at Whale Bay, a massage at the house. The food at Tango Mar is good, but pricey. We enjoyed the food at Tambor Tropical alot and was much better priced. If you are ready for a fun filled, action packed, very physical and energizing yet relaxing vacation...this is your place. Don't bother looking at any other Tambor properties...you will NOT beat this place. And...the owner and other staff was extremely easy to work with and very eager to please. We would highly recommend this property and truly hope to return one day!
