Private spacious retreat
The hosts were very gracious! We were greeted on arrival (even though we were several hours late because of a delayed flight), helped with our luggage and showed around the room. The hosts also offered us their driveway to park in (much appreciated, but not necessary as there is ample street parking).
In the room, there were snacks, drinks, fruit, coffee, tea and water all generously provided. Any bathroom items you may have forgotten were provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton swabs) and the hair dryer provided was nicer than the one I have at home! There are plenty of clean towels.
The space is a suite, not just a bedroom. It has a bedroom (wonderful soft sheets and comfortable mattress and bedding) with a desk, chair, dresser, closet for hanging items. A space heater is provided if you need extra warmth.
There is a separate living room with a tv, chair, ottoman, couch, a very comfortable space for 2 of us, and greatly appreciated when 1 person can't sleep (it is separated from the bedroom by a door).
There is a coffeemaker, mini fridge, microwave.
Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We felt very welcome, but the hosts were never intrusive. The space has a separate entrance and an outdoor seating area, should weather permit.
You will hear a little noise from upstairs (you are, after all, staying in someone's home!), but nothing at all excessive (certainly nothing more than you would here in a hotel).
With the crazy hotel rates in Seattle, this place is a great value!
We stayed for 3 days but would have been comfortable for longer. We would love to stay here again when we are in the area!
I was dumb and didn't realize this was in someone's home... all the other VRBOs I've stayed at stood on their own. That said, I was very hesitant about our stay once we arrived and I realized it was occupied. Leon met us at the door and helped me in with my bag; he couldn't have been nicer. Annette came home soon after and came down to check on us and make sure we were settling in; she was lovely and hilarious! Both of them put me completely at ease and I was then able to enjoy my stay. The location is great, we Lyft'd all weekend and it was a grand total of $41, and we never waited more than a few minutes for pickup. The living area is beautiful and the neighborhood is super quiet. The only "complaint" I could come up with is that the bathroom door could use a lil squirt of WD40 haha - sooo not a big deal, but everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again.
OUTSTANDING, but a few nips and tucks are needed
We arrived in Seattle, and made contact with our host. We were very pleasantly surprised at how large, and neat, and comfortable our place was. Annette really was a jewel, and quickly made us feel welcome. A few caveats are in order, though. The property is located in the Beacon Hill section, emphasis on HILL. The streets are quite steep, so if you have any disabilities, you will either need a vehicle, hire a ride when needed, or be in pretty good physical condition. We generally walked down from the light rail station, but rode up. By walking another 4 blocks down, there is a bus route that also goes into town. Great choice! One other fact. There are very few restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so plan on dining before returning, otherwise you will be going out on a regular basis. The 2 (of 3) coffee shops had an interesting dychomety, one had good coffee, but so-so pastry, the other had good pastry, but so-so coffee. At the light rail station there is a grocery store across the street for any items you might want to get. All in all it is a great place, and we would love to return sometime later, (when it's not the rainy season.)
Clem, comfortable and quiet with plenty of space.
The place was very nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, with quality linens and pillows. The bathroom had everything you could possibly need from Qtips to a hairdryer. A nice selection of snacks and a refrigerator stocked with an assortment of drinks awaited our arrival. Also included was a coffee maker, microwave, glasses and china. There was a backyard wiith a table and chairs for our enjoyment too. The property is a short walk to the train station. We arrived late the first night and we very fortunate that the property owners offered to pick us up at the train station. They went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable.
lovely, clean, good location
My husband and I came to seattle to visit his brother. We chose this place due to its proximity to his brother. We were very pleased. We were 2 blocks from the light rail to get to seattle center, close to expressways (we went to Mt Rainier and wine tasting in Woodinville). It was nice to have a feel of the neighborhood which was quiet and safe. Annette could not have been nicer and made us feel right at home.
This wonderful couple came to Seattle to visit family an stay with us for a few days. They kept the place sooo clean it’s like they didn’t even stay there! We would invite Victoria and her Husband back any time for a visit. Great couple
Loved our stay
Accommodations were so cozy. Our host, Annette, could not have been sweeter. My wife fell at the airport and scraped her knee. Annette went above and beyond to care for my wife in the most loving and thoughtful of ways. It's so very heart warming to know that there are people as loving and caring towards strangers like Annette. Our bed was so comfortable that we slept very peacefully. We've already began discussing when we can get back to not only visit lovely Seattle, but to also see wonderful Annette.
The neighborhood is quite and peaceful. Beacon hill is one of the oldest establish neighborhoods in the city of Seattle. You will love the neighborhood hotspots such as, the Fresh Flour bakery & cafe, The Oaks, this is a bar, The Station coffee, Cafetal Quilomobo, Tippe and Drague Alehouse or Delite Bakery—one of the favorite spots for residents here. When you're heading south, you’ll go through Jefferson Park, which has a golf course, hiking trails, tennis courts, and kid-friendly play equipment. Have fun!
