Casa Caroline is just lovely! It's fabulous location means that you have complete privacy in the hills, apart from the birds singing and the occasional paraglider passing overhead.
The chalet is well equipped with everything you need to self cater. The hot tub is fabulous and the welcome pack hard to beat.
All the essential ingredients for a quiet and peaceful holiday. Thank you to Jane and Clive for their hospitality.
We are pleased to hear good reports for our chalet and look forward to seeing you
Comfortable secluded property with great views.
Casa Caroline is a lovely chalet in a peaceful, secluded location. It is located about 250m above sea-level, above Adeje, in a very private position in the grounds of the owners but not overlooked by them. It has extensive views of the coast and nearby settlements with mountains to the rear. The extensive garden is landscaped with a number of places with table+chairs to sit and relax. Not forgetting the hot tub/jacuzzi - we found chilling out in the tub a great way to start and/or end our day!
The chalet itself has large rooms. The kitchen is very well appointed for those who like to cook on holiday. The large cool box we found especially useful for picnics. The lounge/diner too is well kitted out with English TV, wifi, stereo and a relaxing large settee. The bedroom has ample storage space and a comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom is large with a modern walk-in shower.
There is an apartment too on the ground floor of the owners’ house which is available to rent.
The location for exploring by car is good too as the new motorway, TF1, passes by the outskirts of Adeje providing access in both directions round the island. We would say a car is essential.
The owners, Jane & Clive, are a gem – it was Halifax’s loss and Tenerife’s gain when they moved to the island! They are so helpful in providing information about the island – local restaurants, shops, driving routes etc. The welcome pack was very extensive and so appreciated after our journey.
The fact that we booked to return a second time, before we left, is testament to how much we enjoyed our stay in Casa Caroline.
What can we say the review is exceptional with extensive points of view regarding the area and chalet we very much enjoy meeting all our guests and are very pleased to hear any comments so that we can keep up the good work we have put into giving our guests a lovely time in rural Tenerife.
Had a second stay here from May to June 2016 and it was as good as our first last year. The chalet is in the grounds of the owner's property, and there is also a seperate apartment, but it is very private and not overlooked. The chalet is very roomy and well equipped (a cool box and towels are also provided for days out/trips to the beach). Jane and Clive are very friendly owners and nothing is too much trouble for them. A very comprehensive welcome pack is provided and will set you up before a shopping trip to Lidl or Mercadona which is just down the hill in Adeje.
The chalet is up a hill and although it is walkable down to Adeje I would hesitate to recommend the walk back, especially with shopping and in heat. We feel a car is necessary for most people for getting to the beach and visiting various sights. There is wifi in the property and 5/6 English channels on the tv.
All in all, we would highly recommend this property - having a hot tub at night with a glass of wine and the lights along the coast below you, is quite magical!
Always a pleasure to meet our guests a second time, and appreciate their comments.
Although we didn't really fall in love with Tenerife itself, this chalet is pretty much perfect if you're looking for a location in the south of the island away from the busy coastal resorts.
Situated about a mile up the hill north of Adeje it's spacious, with a sizeable garden, the hot-tub of course and wonderful views. The 4 rooms - kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom are all well sized - even large. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The garden is very private, essentially not overlooked at all.
The chalet is only 5 minutes from the motorway which makes getting around very straightforward.
Once again many thanks to our guests for a lovely review very much appreciated.
Our regular Xmas venue
We come here over the Xmas and new year period for the past few years. The chalet is in a quiet location with great views of the sea. For me cleanliness is a priority and it is spotless. There is English TV and the chalet has everything you need. It is a short drive to La Caleta where there are many lovely bars restaurants and beaches. There are lovely walks along the nearby beaches.
Our hosts are very friendly but not intrusive. They kindly provide a starter pack of food and drinks which is very welcome after a long journey. I love it.
We had a fantastic stay here. Jane and Clive were great, they managed to squeeze us in at short notice. They made us feel really welcome and we would definitely stay there again. The chalet was perfect for us as we had a car which I'd recommend if you stay there. It is well kept and has all the amenities you need. We had a couple of BBQs in the garden overlooking some beautiful views. Thanks again Jane and Clive
Las Moraditas is just on the outskirts of Adeje village which is the most beautiful town in the south of Tenerife, there are some original buildings, restaurants which have local dishes like the garlic chicken and various tapas bars, there's also the walk along to the Baranco del Inferno. The town hall now boasts a beautiful square overlooking the striking barranco's and mountains of Adeje. The beaches are within a 10 minuets drive where you will find the magnificent beach of Playa del Duque, or a little further around the coast there is the little fishing village of La Caleta were there are various Fish Restaurants you can also have a Tapas looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. Should you wish to go in another direction you will find the village of Ghia de Isora which leads you onto the road to Mount Teide which is well worth a visit, there are plenty of walks in and around the south of Tenerife also. Whatever your requirements are you will find them on this beautiful Island.
