It is very peaceful and quiet very romantic. We are only 2 klm away from the supermarkets and the TF1 motorway so you are only a few minuets drive from
anywhere on the Island, the beaches are 6 klms drive away. Our private apartment is totally separate and does not encroach on our rural chalet.
The apartment is very spacious with large bedroom 200 x 200 bed, lounge with wonderful sea views, fullyfitted kitchen with dining area, shower room. Sat TV with BBC CD and Radio, books Wi-Fi. There is a private terrace with sunbeds and table and chairs where you have beautiful views of the sea and mountains separate drive from the chalet and this can be rented separte or together with the chalet if available.
Had a second stay here from May to June 2016 and it was as good as our first last year. The chalet is in the grounds of the owner's property, and there is also a seperate apartment, but it is very private and not overlooked. The chalet is very roomy and well equipped (a cool box and towels are also provided for days out/trips to the beach). Jane and Clive are very friendly owners and nothing is too much trouble for them. A very comprehensive welcome pack is provided and will set you up before a shopping trip to Lidl or Mercadona which is just down the hill in Adeje.
The chalet is up a hill and although it is walkable down to Adeje I would hesitate to recommend the walk back, especially with shopping and in heat. We feel a car is necessary for most people for getting to the beach and visiting various sights. There is wifi in the property and 5/6 English channels on the tv.
All in all, we would highly recommend this property - having a hot tub at night with a glass of wine and the lights along the coast below you, is quite magical!
Although we didn't really fall in love with Tenerife itself, this chalet is pretty much perfect if you're looking for a location in the south of the island away from the busy coastal resorts.
Situated about a mile up the hill north of Adeje it's spacious, with a sizeable garden, the hot-tub of course and wonderful views. The 4 rooms - kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom are all well sized - even large. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The garden is very private, essentially not overlooked at all.
The chalet is only 5 minutes from the motorway which makes getting around very straightforward.
We come here over the Xmas and new year period for the past few years. The chalet is in a quiet location with great views of the sea. For me cleanliness is a priority and it is spotless. There is English TV and the chalet has everything you need. It is a short drive to La Caleta where there are many lovely bars restaurants and beaches. There are lovely walks along the nearby beaches.
Our hosts are very friendly but not intrusive. They kindly provide a starter pack of food and drinks which is very welcome after a long journey. I love it.
We had a fantastic stay here. Jane and Clive were great, they managed to squeeze us in at short notice. They made us feel really welcome and we would definitely stay there again. The chalet was perfect for us as we had a car which I'd recommend if you stay there. It is well kept and has all the amenities you need. We had a couple of BBQs in the garden overlooking some beautiful views. Thanks again Jane and Clive
I have to say that our stay here was much better than expected. Normally, we stay in a hotel in the middle of everything, so I was a bit nervous about being half way up a mountain in isolation, but it was great! Jane and Clive's welcome pack was one of the best I have seen, and did us well before going off on a shopping trip! Lidl and several other supermarkets are just down the mountain and will provide all your needs for a self catering holiday. The walk down into town is do-able but walking back up, with shopping, is not for the unfit or feint hearted! A car really is a must to get about.
Three things that go to making Casa Caroline one of the best are the bed - huge and very comfy; the shower - I want one like this and the hot tub - the view from this and the garden, especially at night, is wonderful. Many happy hours spent 'looking!'
Thank you Jane and Clive for a great time and we'll be back for longer next time!
We were unable to book the chalet for the full two weeks so spent our first week in a hotel complex in Costa Adeje which was OK but could not compare with Casa Caroline which proved to be the perfect get away we were looking for. Having read the previous previews we can only agree whole heartedly with all the positive remarks made. Jane and Clive were genuinely lovely people who respect your privacy but are there for you if you need anything. Location is perfect – far enough away from the touristy hustle and bustle but close enough to dip in should you really want to. We didn’t have a car and enjoyed our trips down to the shop/Adeje…….the walk back up was a challenge but it’s doable. Casa Caroline had everything we would ever need while on holiday and we hope to return again.
Las Moraditas is just on the outskirts of Adeje village which is the most beautiful town in the south of Tenerife, there are some original buildings, restaurants which have local dishes like the garlic chicken and various tapas bars, there's also the walk along to the Baranco del Inferno. The town hall now boasts a beautiful square overlooking the striking barranco's and mountains of Adeje. The beaches are within a 10 minuets drive where you
will find the magnificent beach of Playa del Duque, or a little further around the coast there is the little fishing village of La Caleta were there are various Fish Restaurants you can also have a Tapas looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. Should you wish to go in another direction you will find the village of Ghia de Isora which leads you onto the road
to Mount Teide which is well worth a visit, there are plenty of walks in and around the south of Tenerife also. Whatever your requirements are you will find them on this beautiful Island.
