Place is great
Will be back
Beautiful peaceful and quiet It was.
Very nice and cozy large house with very nice decor if you like the county it’s a very good place for walking and the wild life with deer and wild turkeys
The property was well maintained, clean, and a pleasure to stay at. The spacious property offers a lot of room to roam and direct access to the river. The only downside being that a large portion of the view of the river is blocked by some brush and only a narrow footpath can be accessed. Going down the river from the bridge a couple of miles down or from the canoe launch near the campground, will be your best bet for kayaking or tubing. From the bridge will be more difficult but offers some really amazing views. Overall five stars all around.
I’m glad you had an enjoyable time at Steelhead Lodge. We were talking last month about clearing the brush from the riverbank, but my caretaker had a heart attack and it will be a little while before he can get that done. The plan has been made though. Thanks!
fit expectations to a "T"
Fascinated by multiple turtles laying eggs in the sandy area of the front lawn, Quiet and remote. "Just Dandy!"
We're glad you enjoyed your time at the lodge. This time of year we see quite a few turtles laying eggs in the front yard. I'd love to be there when the eggs are hatching out!!
Hopefully, we'll see you again soon.
Wonderful, enjoyed our stay, highly recommend.
Very good. Everything was easy for us.
Can’t really say one negative thing about the entire rental experience. Just thank you for a great job.
We're glad that you had an enjoyable time, and we're pleased to share our home with you.
Great modern house with that unique "up north" feel.
Don't be fooled by the shallow rocky
appearance of the water. Crocks will work for wading (what we used), but a snug wading shoe would have.been better. Late July, and we landed a lot of smallies 10-14" and a dozen or more 15"+ right in front of the cabin. Rainbow in the 14" size were spuratic, but we were not really setup for trout. Kayak from the north ending at the cabin, and landed a few northern and lots of bass ( One 37" northern). From the cabin south to the lake was a very long float. Probably more fish in those waters, but we were pressed for time. - one log jam forced us to take a path through the woods.
Back to the house. Not having ac was only an issue for the first day, as it was 94° when we got there. We bought a couple box fans and left there for the next group. 80° and lower he next few days and the house was very comfortable.
We will definitely keep this house on our radar for future outdoor trips and vacations. -probably for snowmobiling and spring steelhead fishing this March!
-side note. DO NOT use Cedar River Fishing Charters for a fishing guide on the lake. Total joke, handed me a $12 fishing pole and the boat was like it was pulled out of a dump. Full price and no fish in the boat.
Other than that, it was a great area and place to stay.
Make your vacation as relaxing, or as exciting as you want.
