BEACH FRONT - 1 Bedroom Apt. - NEW & MODERN
I'm an Ex Internet Advertising Executive and Pierre is a Marine and Residential Master Electrical Contractor (and the Martha Stewart of home repair) Pierre is originally from Montreal and speaks fluent French and attended McGill University. I founded and owned a Digital Ad Agency (henderson bas) for 13 years and Pierre still owns his company. We both love Grand Turk. We have been coming to the island for over 12 years and have decided to semi-retire here. In fact we eloped here three years ago. Pierre and I are both detailed oriented people and love to take care of our property. We don't like to boast but I have great taste so the interior of the Suites are nicely decorated and Pierre can build and fix everything and anything. We're both service oriented people and take great pride in making Reef House a place you'll want to tell your friends and family about and return to again and again. Why the Owner Chose Grand Turk:
Owner purchased this Apartment in 2015
Why Owner chose Cockburn Town
It's unlike any other island in the Caribbean. Not too many people know of Grand Turk and that's what makes it so special. It's one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean. You don't have to dress up for dinner unless you want to, or sit on a beach with hundreds of other tourists. Yes there are things to do in the evening and more than enough activities during the day, but if you want to shop or go to nightclubs you won't find them here in Grand Turk. The people are great and the marine life is fantastic. You can visit other Cays each having their own charm - Salt Cay or Gibbs Cay.
What makes this Apartment unique
If you love animals like we do, you're in for a big treat. It boasts the 3rd largest barrier reef system in the world (7,000 barrier reef wall). So the diving is spectacular as well as the snorkeling. From January to mid April you may spot Humpback Whales from your very own veranda. You may even catch a pod of Dolphins swimming right past your Beachfront Suite. There are also wild donkeys and horses all over the island. We offer each Suite a Weber propane BBQ should you wish to dine on freshly caught fish caught that afternoon that can be purchased down the street at the local fish market. We provide two complimentary bicycles so you can take in the sites of this unique island. Our suites face the national marine park and the 7,000 foot barrier reef- so take our paddle boards (no charge) and paddle out to the reef. We want to offer our guests everything we look for when we travel. Accommodations that are super clean, well maintained, nicely decorated, TV with cable, Internet and a great bathroom with great water pressure. It also has to be right on the water. Reef House has all of this and more. - Very Safe Island - Queen Size Bed - Close to all bars, grocery stores, restaurants - Screened in Veranda - facing the Caribbean Ocean - west - spectacular sunsets - Big Wooden Deck facing the ocean - Newly Built - Completed January 2016 - Directly on the Beach - roll out of bed and you're in turquoise water - White sand & crystal clear water - Free airport transfers - Complimentary bikes - 2 per suite - Complimentary paddle boards - Great water pressure - Weber™ Propane BBQ - Complimentary filtered water & ice - Water noodles - Umbrellas & Beach Chairs/Lounges

Great Location and Property
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reef House. We even extended our stay by two days after meeting some delightful new friends staying in the unit upstairs. We were a short walk to town to the south and to Bohio to the north. Definitely one of the nicer properties on the beach. I would have given this property a five star review but there were some things that could definitely be improved. The one bedroom unit was not as open and bright as the pictures show. It would be nice if it had larger windows facing beach. Not a deal breaker, but no sponge or dishwashing detergent. That is an easy fix. Also no laundry in lower units. It would be great if golf cart was included but we appreciated beach toys, bikes and paddle boards being included. At the end of the day, we would definitely go back and stay. Especially if it is kept up under new ownership. Some things are beginning to be a little tired like the coffee table on deck. Would probably pop for the top floor with amazing open floorplan and laundry. It also had a plethora of supplies, but no extra trash bags. I think with a few tweaks this property would be 5 stars across the board for sure. Loved it!
DO visit this Island; DON'T rent any of the 3 properties in this unit!
We rented from the prior owner who resided on the property but sold the units before our arrival. The new owners are not on the Island and hired a Property Manager. The PM was only on the property a few times; she seemed highly annoyed to have to speak with us. Honestly, she is the only rude person we meet on the entire trip.
1. Location - it is almost perfect. You lose part of the beach in the morning to tides and shade but it is beautiful in the evenings.
2. Parking was ample. It is not their property and is shared with construction shipping containers - we were careful to not block the units.
3. Thank you for the bottle of wine for our honeymoon.
The surrounding rentals do this: Pick up from the airport, take you to a lunch or breakfast, give an initial island tour for groceries, eating out, fish market, etc.; stop by to drop fresh towels; take you back to the airport and assist with any travel delays. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET HERE.
Do not attempt to check in until 4 pm. The door codes will not work. We arrived early, and it was fortunate we rented a car (A MUST!). Our bags could be dropped off but even though there was not another guest in the apt - NO ACCESS. Don't fly in too early. We explored the island until 4 pm.
Get a taxi from the airport or rent a car; no will pick you up, give you a tour or decent driving directions. The prior owners were scheduled to pick us up - the new owner suggested I get a taxi.
Golf carts - there are 2 on property. It was confusing because they were not offered for use to us but the tenant upstairs was allowed to do so. However, neither one worked.
The deck - 2 of the 4 loungers are broke, none of the umbrellas are 100% functional, everything smells musty and constantly damp. Everything in the beach toy box smells moldy. The cushions are torn and very flat - we sat on them once.
The Property Manager: She was not "a gem" to us or to the couple checking in the night before we left. They knocked on our door for help after she left. We took them on a tour and to get groceries. One day before leaving, she was there to change a battery. She heard us on the phone having issues with our Island flight. No advice - just "Travel Safe".
This place is not stocked with any basic food supplies other than leftover spices from prior guests. Oh - bring a coffee mug. They have 5 but it's 4 espresso cups and one mug.
There are much better places with better management.
Heaven on Earth.
Couples look no further, this is where you want to be. Inside and out, everything is perfect, pictures can’t do it justice!
Right on the beach, clean and comfortable. Reef House provides bikes and paddleboards. You'll find yourself staring at the water, wondering how it can be that vibrant color!
Please come back to the Turks and Caicos Islands and in particular Grand Turk and unsung hero of the TCI, thank you for your descriptive review.
Perfect little getaway!
This was the perfect place to stay if you’re trying to relax! Situated just steps away from the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, this property was as beautiful inside as the view is outside!
Great location, AMAZING VIEW!
You can’t beat the view - sunrise and sunset. We will definitely be back to Grand Turk. Thanks!
REEF HOUSE IS LOCATED ON GRAND TURK - NOT PROVENCIALES
It's a separate island from Provo.
Coming from the Continental U.S or Canada fly to Provenciales, Turks & Caicos and then take a 20 minute local flight from Provenciales to Grand Turk. You will be picked up by Reef House - No airport transfer fees for pick-up and return to airport.
Airlines: WestJet, Air Canada, JetBlue, United, Delta, American Airlines
Grand Turk :
If you want great shopping and night clubs, Grand Turk is not for you. It however is one of the best islands in the T&C. It's more bohemian in it's vibe. It's laid back and chilled. Unlike Provo you can whip around the island in a golf cart. If you love the water there is lots to do. The diving and snorekling here is some of the best in the world. From Dec to the beginning of March you will witness the Humpback Whales - amazing sight.
