Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
amazing view- pics don't do it justice!
We spent Thanksgiving week at the Blue Sea Cottage with our son and his family. The cottage was just the right size and was well appointed. I was able to make a great Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all accompanying dishes plus pies. The view is wonderful.
A lovely spot, pleasant accommodations, nice people and good food nearby. The Cottage was a good choice. A little remote, but that's a plus too.
We loved Oceanside our first time through a few years ago, so we decided to stay in town this time. We arrived after dark and what a treat it was to wake to the view from the bedroom! And it only got better when we got to the living room! The pictures don't do the experience of this place justice!!! The location and amenities were perfect for our needs, as well as those of our very "senior" pets. We will definitely be back soon!
Great experience. I only wish there was direct access to the beach. The hot tub is also realistically made for two people, but four slender people can squeeze in without too much discomfort.
A bit of background. My wife grew up by the seashore. Because of my job we've lived in a land-locked, fly-over state since 1970. Last February we found out that she has a terminal illness. Time spent by the sea rose to the top of her bucket list. We chose Oceanside for a week's visit. We flew into Portland, rented a car and drove out to the coast through the beautiful Tillamook Forest.
The cottage was all she'd hoped it would be. It's been very well maintained. We're not kids anymore so the short set of steps up was welcome; the fancy places across the street would have been impossible for us. The premises were very clean. There was a full spice rack, lots of cooking utensils and plenty of ice cube trays.
We found that beach access was best through the town site, and that the closer site to the south was difficult to maneuver. We couldn't figure out how to get the cable TV working our first night so we called the local assistance person the next morning. He came right out and walked us through it! There was a loose paver on the walk up to the cottage. Without any action on our part, someone fixed the problem while we were there. Major kudos for the supporting staff.
There were little things that needed attention as in any dwelling. Nothing serious. VRBO owners might leave a log book for their guests to record those observations: For example, the labels on the TV remote were worn off; or, the railing leading upstairs needs repainting. Absolutely trivial stuff, but the kind of things that persnickety guests notice.
We saw blue herons, snowy egrets, cormorants and kingfishers as we explored the surrounding country. Be prepared to go into Tillamook for provisions. We had sunny days and chilly, foggy ones. The little gas stove did its job. We were cozy as we watched the waves roll in.
We would visit again.
