Blairsville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2-3 Bedrooms + 2-3 Baths, Sleeps 2-10 (Read full description)

Welcome to Bear It All! This wonderful newly constructed cabin, located in the majestic mountains of beautiful Blairsville Georgia, offers everything you would want in a peaceful and exciting getaway! As you may have already figured out, the motif for Bear It All is, well, bears! We are available for rental as a 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom cabin (either option affords you this wonderful cabin all to yourself) so call us Today! All rates quoted are for the 2 bedroom 2 bath option (see notes below rates).

When you walk up onto the wraparound covered porch, you are greeted by four of the most comfortable rocking chairs ever made (we have 6 rockers on two levels), offering wonderful opportunities for sharing coffee and sunrises or drinks and sunsets! Will you head to the enormous screened porch with bar and oversized Jacuzzi hot tub or decide to come inside and see what else Bear It All has to offer? The choice is yours, but for now, let us head inside the cabin.

Upon entering the spacious cabin, you will find yourself in one of the coziest vaulted family rooms ever constructed. Beautiful embroidered fabric sofas and loveseats will provide hours of cuddling in front of one of the five flat-screen television sets or the romantic gas log fireplace. Keep going and you will arrive in the fully-furnished kitchen and inviting dining room where you can cook up a storm or enjoy snacks and ice cold beverages. All necessary appliances are provided for your convenience. Please note, per guest comments, that additional place settings have been purchased and there should be at least 10 settings available.

You may now proceed to the main floor bath or the spacious second bedroom. The bedroom features ample closet space, wonderful views, a large dresser, smart alarm clock/radio, phone, and a 27-inch TV with satellite.

All wood stairs lead you up to the 'Reading Room' loft where you can relax in the most comfortable seat in the house (the pappason) and read your favorite novel or pick out one of our mountain offerings from the Canoe Library.

Once you have finished your book, you will want to retire to the vaulted master bedroom where you can freshen up for dinner in your private bathroom or kick back, relax, and watch a show on your 27-inch television. Step outside through french doors onto your private, covered, second-floor balcony and sit in one of the two Amish rocking chairs with separate foot rockers and take in a gorgeous mountain sunset. After your sunset, you may want to change into a bathing suit and head outside to the enormous screened porch bar area, but do not forget your favorite beverage! The master bedroom also has smart alarm clock/radio and a phone.

Out back, you will find a fantastic deck with a wonderful, four-burner, gas grill that cooks steaks to perfection! Head on into the screened porch, flip on your neon bar lights, and you will find a one-of-a-kind craftsmen bar with three craftsmen wood stools positioned perfectly to view your favorite movies or sports shows on the 27-inch outdoor television!

Jump into the hammock chair and swing around or park it at the corner cafe breakfast nook, or just recline in the two padded lounge chairs or three white bar back stools. Most of all, you will want to grab your partners in crime and jump into the seven-person, top-of-the-line, Jacuzzi Hot Tub with a double waterfall and light show. There is an individual seat to please everyone, but we recommend sharing it with the ones you love.

After drying off, head down to the finished basement for a game of Ping-Pong on your professional Stiga table, park it at the new folding bar or poker table and take in a movie or some sports on the new basement television set. If you have chosen the 3BR 3BA option, then unlock the 3rd master suite (separate key code will be given) and enjoy your spacious newly completed private basement oasis. Or, if you are feeling outdoorsy, choose to take a refreshing walk down the gravel road. Either way, you are sure to enjoy yourself here at Bear It All!

Bear It All is completely furnished to suit your every need. All of the walls are 100% white pine with NO DRYWALL! All of the floors are 100% yellow pine. There is more than adequate closet space and dressers for clothing. With five televisions, all with Dish Network satellite TV, you will not be far from your favorite shows or sporting events. If it is raining, better yet! You'll love the sound of the rain pitter pattering on your Tin Roof (well, it's really steel), especially while you lounge in the Hot Tub!

Need to catch up on some emails or work that requires internet access? No Problem! We have just installed HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS!

Do not forget to walk down to your private deck overlooking the creek!

Note: With the 3 bedroom 3 bath option this cabin can comfortably sleep 6 adults. We do have 2 queen sized blow-up mattresses that can accommodate 4 more teens/children or adults, if absolutely necessary. The sofa and love seat are large enough for children to sleep on, as well, but are not pull-outs.

About Craig

My name is Craig Levine and I am a realtor who has seen tons of homes over my 20 year career. Having seen so many homes, I had a good idea of how to turn BearItAll into a wonderful vacation home with all of the amenities that I would want at my primary residence without all of the commotion.

Craig purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Craig chose North Georgia Mountains

I chose this Blairsville location because it is central to so many activities in the mountains. From hiking the Appalachian Trail (10 minutes away) to boating and fishing on 3 major lakes (30 minutes away) to having drinks in the Bavarian town of Helen (25 minutes away), BearItAll is conveniently located, yet, in the midst of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

What makes this cabin unique

I love to hike and am always hitting the plethora of wonderful trails within 20 minutes of the cabin. I also have a motorcycle and love to get out on the scenic roadways in the vicinity. The main reason I come up here is to enjoy some rest and relaxation. The BearItAll cabin has been designed with an escape in mind.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Bear it all was the perfect choice for my teddy bear of a husband. But Craig, my house at home has more bears than yours except for the live one that frightened me on our arrival. Cheston was most helpful and put my mind at ease about the bear. The week went by too fast as we golfed, enjoyed meals at Fatz Café and visited a wonderful place called Foxfire over by Mountain city. Missed seeing the deer but I guess they were well fed in the woods. The hot tub was great and we never did make it to play ping-pong as steps are a problem for Teddy. Thanks again for a lovely vacation!

Went with my very large group, with babies and adults, it was perfect. Even the picky older kids enjoyed the cabin, so many happy memories made. Any and all issues we had was so quickly and completely taken care of by the owner, it was relaxing and stress free!!! Loved the wonderful hot tube and setting. Picture perfect!

Not what we were hoping for

  • 2 of 5

Photos must be from years ago as they show a very nice, well maintained cabin. Our biggest complaint was how grown up the outside was. We could hardly see the "Bear It All" sign on the outside of the cabin. Everywhere we looked, grass was growing up 2-3 feet high. Even the steps to the porch to go inside were overgrown with weeds and had sticks and branches overhanging them... We barely sat on the screen porch as there were DEADLY Giant Asian Hornets in and around it. These things were the size of my thumb! There was a small amount of wasp spray (we ran out after spraying 3 wasps), so it seems they are aware of the issue. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about those, but I would think that it would help if the property was cleaned up. Also, the photos are very misleading in that it shows a mountain view. Yes, you are in the mountains, however, there is no mountain view, just trees and other cabins. This was disappointing because the one most important things we were looking for, was a great mountain view.

When we made it inside, it too was not as new and shiny as depicted, which I understand as we have rentals ourselves, people don't care since it's not theirs. What we didn't like was that it wasn't the cleanest. We walked through spider webs in every doorway and there were dead spiders and bees on the floor. We turned on the stove for breakfast and it started smoking! We wiped it and the paper towel was just black! Also, it's hard to feel clean after a shower with so many spider webs above my head and the DISGUSTINGLY dirty shower curtain! I'm not sure who is cleaning but they do not do a very good job. At least send someone to tidy up a bit before your next guests arrive. But we felt at home alright, all before our 10 am check out time we had to wash and dry sheets and towels, do the dishes, take out the trash, none of which you are made aware of before arrival. Isn't that what we paid the cleaning crew for? Our cleaning crew does those things and we take pride in cleanliness!

Lastly, it took almost 3 weeks to get our deposit back. After waiting a week we contacted him, he told tell us he needed our address to mail a check, which is NOT true. We also use VRBO as owners and know that can be done electronically in just MINUTES, with no need to "store credit card info" like you suggested in a reply to another review. And if there were plans to mail a check, shouldn't he ask for our address instead of waiting for us to ask for our money?

A Great Weekend In The Mountains!

  • 4 of 5

My college buddies and I try to get together twice a year to catch back up and have a great weekend together. We always try to find a cabin in the mountains for the weekend. We stayed for the weekend and had a great time. The cabin is located close to all sorts of outdoor activities from Vogel State Park to Brasstown Bald. Additionally the cabin is secluded down a long gravel dirt road in a gated community. It's nice and quiet and the people in the community are so kind if you happen to meet some of them.

The only reason we gave the cabin 4 stars instead of 5 is because the property and vegetation around the cabin were relatively overgrown. There were a couple of places in the cabin that might have missed dusting when it was dusted last (only an issue because one of the guys has pretty bad allergies).

With those couple of things aside, the cabin is a fantastic property to stay at with your family, as a getaway, or even a base of operations for adventuring for the weekend. We will most certainly consider coming back!

Owner's Response: Bryan, Thanks so much for staying with us, again! We try to do a thorough cleaning after each guest but sometimes if it is a few days until the next guest arrives, the cabin might accumulate a little bit of dust. The vegetation grows fast up in the mountains but sort of gives the cabin a rustic feel. We will have another yard service, shortly. Thanks so much for mentioning these items and we are so glad you and your college buddies had a great time!

We had a great three days

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful inside, we enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the upstairs porch. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking.

Owner's Response: Kenneth, Thanks so much for the awesome review and for being such a great guest. We're glad you enjoyed the upstairs balcony rockers! We have two sets of rockers so that our guests can kick back and relax on the main level porch or take it up to the 2nd story porch, offering some great views. Everyone loves the 7 person Jacuzzi tub, especially after a full day of activities or a nice hike. We'd love to have you back soon! Craig

Disappointed

  • 1 of 5

Unfortunately, the property was not what was expected or pictured. The grounds were badly overgrown and neglected. The televisions were out of date, and the remotes worked sporadically because they had dead batteries.

Interior was clean and comfortable, but the lack of property maintenance was very dissapointing.

Pete

Owner's Response: Sorry you felt that way. We have kept the cabin rustic because most people like that feel when they come to the mountains. I will head up, personally, to manicure the grounds after our next guest departs. We have 5 televisions that work well but since most people come up to the mountains to get away from their daily routine, we have not invested in the newest and greatest televisions to try and encourage guests to get out more, read more, and spend more time with the family in an active manner. Don't get me wrong, I love watching my favorite shows and sporting events from the screened porch hot tub, but it's usually after a great hike on the Appalachian trail. If you are looking for a cabin with large flat screen televisions, this one ain't for you. Thanks for the feedback, though.
