About Marion Bowman
I am a retired teacher with a house to large for one person. My children all live in California. where I lived for 20 years before coming home to the South. Grew up in NO and went to LSU. I enjoy the warm climate most of the year. The house is on pilings but easy stairs to navigate. There's a caretaker apt downstairs which makes the area very secure. Vandalism is rare in the area. I travel a great deal and the apt decor reflects that.
Marion Bowman purchased this House in 2008
Why Marion Bowman chose Waveland
I've always had houses with especially water views. I bought this propery 25 years ago with the intention of possibly retiring here. My sister lived close by so I had visited her many times while going to NO to visit my Mother and family. I build the beach house 20 years age, and started another Montessori School in the area. The house was destroyed in Katrina but was re-build 3 years later. I was not here for the hurricane and so I stayed in CA until the house was re-built.
What makes this House unique
I enjoy my house for I like having coffee on my porch and enjoying the evening breeze. With large windows I have a great view from the living room. The apt has the same views.

Anniversary Trip Getaway
It's a quiet neighborhood with a wonderful view! Marion is a very sweet lady and is very accommodating!
The place was everything we expected
Definitely want to go back soon
A dream get away
This place is everything I wanted in a get away looking out at the beautiful gulf coast. The porch and rockers were a dream and I can't wait to go back! Thank you Marion for making our stay wonderful!
Marion's property was great. Great views of gulf, great breezes, clean and close to downtown restaurants and casinos. Already planning our next trip back.
My husband and I were on the Coast for the annual Crab Fest in Bay St. Louis. Marion's house was perfect for us! The house is about 2 miles from the Crab Fest location and the rest of the fun places to visit in Bay St. Louis. At the same time, it was away from all the busy-ness. The house is comfortable and cozy, and the view of the Gulf is spectacular! Marion is a great hostess; she and her caretaker, Brad, were available for anything we needed. We had a nice quiet place to nap, relax, and unwind. We definitely want to go back to this property! It was exactly as advertised.
I decided to surprise my wife with a quick anniversary trip to the coast and stumbled upon Marion's place on vrbo. Marion is the perfect hostess. Marion, and Brad the groundskeeper, went above and beyond to make sure we had a very relaxing stay. 2 of the friendliest people you will ever meet. The accommodations are great for quiet stress free weekend. Your privacy is respected, but if you ask, Marion will join you for a glass of wine and wonderful conversation on the beautiful front porch. A very quiet public beach is just steps away. Bay St. Louis is just a few miles away with great food and night life. We have found our getaway place. We'll be back again soon.
A trip to New Orleans, which is 60 miles away.
Old Town Bay St Louis with antique shops as well as fresh seafood restaurants.
In summer, excursions to Ship Island and the alligator swamp tour (a must do).
Bike path across the street (on is available to borrow)
