Just started using the Guest book. We have had several guests that gave us great feedback. We just completed several upgrades to the place, including: electric range / stove, upgraded the kitchen and bathroom electrical services, painting etc. We know you'll love this place! You have got to see it!
My family and I had a reunion at Allan and Sandy's home and it was absolutely perfect. Allan was responsive and friendly throughout the process, and even checked in on us via email several times during our 10-day stay. The house was neat as a pin, freshly cleaned, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The furniture, beds, and linens especially were great, and the kitchen was so well stocked that we had no trouble cooking like we were right at home. Altogether we had 6 adults and 3 children and with the 4 bedrooms there was plenty of comfortable space and privacy for all of us. The town is lovely and quiet but has all the amenities we needed - restaurants, shopping, ice cream and coffee! - and the private beach at the lake was a 3 minute drive from the house. The only time we had to contact the property manager was when the cable box stopped working, and the handyman contacted me immediately and had a new box to us the very next morning. We had a wonderful time and would recommend that anyone rent this house from Allan and Sandy!
The rental house was great. We had two children with us and there was a back yard for them to play in and a park just down the road. The house is super close to town and it had everything you'd need to feel at home. I would definitely stay there again.
We just stayed in this lovely house. The lot is very large, with a huge wooded yard in the back with a hidden-away tree swing. The house itself was cozy and comfortable, and really clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Best of all, the house is a 5-minute drive from several beautiful sandy beaches on crystal clear, warm lakes. There's great hiking around, including a pretty nature preserve right up the road. It's a two-minute drive to shopping and several restaurants. It's also a quick drive to Boston and a great amusement park -- Canobie Lake Park -- and even an old-fashioned drive-in theater -- Weirs Beach Drive-in. It was a perfect trip for a family with teenagers and a dog.
We stayed at this home for two weeks this summer and had a wonderful time. It was pretty hot and humid, but the house was nice and cool because of the trees around it. There was plenty of space for us (my husband and I and our two boys), and an additional cousin or two to have a sleepover. Since I was on vacation, I didn't do much cooking, but when I did there was everything that I needed. The house is very close to downtown so it's convenient to shopping and restaurants, but it is situated in such a way that it feels very secluded. The yard is great, and we LOVED the swing in the back! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we would recommend this property.
We greatly enjoyed our week long visit to this delightful vacation home. Quiet and secluded yet only a mile from anything you might need. The house is comfortable and spacious with a beautiful back yard surrounded by a forest that smells like Christmas! Plenty of space for gathering with friends and family. A short drive gets you to numerous enjoyable daytime activities; my husband's favorite being the multiple disc golf courses.
We stayed for over a week in late October, 2007. The house was perfect for us... we did lots of short day trips all over NH and Vermont, and always got back to the house for dinner and breakfast.
