Sorry, NO PETS.
The family really enjoyed the stay at the lake in this picture perfect lakeside cottage. Lived in New Hampshire for 10 years and always wanted to stay at the lake. Now that we have moved away we decided to take a vacation back in NH. The cottage was all it was billed to be. Clean, quite, good dock and just the overall feel of being back in time made the vacation special. One extra plus was the breathtaking sunsets you get to see each night !!
My boyfriend and I stayed here and I can't say enough about it. The house was super clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. The neighborhood seems to be undergoing a major upgrade with several large "lake style" homes going up, but this one is the same as the old cottage of the past - just what we wanted. My boyfriend fished and swam (the water was very nice and warm) and I enjoyed the huge deck with its awesome view! There is a vacant lot next door so we had the feeling of more space than we paid for... The neighbors we friendly with a wave when they walked or swam by - which is not always the case with renters. The only trouble we had was bears in the trash, but this happened all over the area and after all it is a cabin in the woods!
We will be sure to come back next year!
If you're looking to relax and forget the rest of the world, this cottage is perfect! The cottage has been updated, but still maintains the original look and feel of the knotty-pine Winnipesaukee cottages of the past. The path to the dock is very natural, and the sandy area is a great place to have your morning coffee. We did a lot of kayaking around the area coves, swam everyday, fished and in the late afternoon just hung out on tubes while floating around the cove. In the evening the deck was the perfect place for grilling and eating outside at the picnic table, with a fabulous view of the mountains. The porch was great for breakfast, or later evening board games. We saw lots of loons, (two right near the dock), an eagle, hummingbirds and caught fish as well! The dock is my favorite spot for reading, or diving off for a good swim! We'll be back and are so happy to have found a little piece of paradise!
This cottage is exactly as described on the website. It is a cozy and private getaway nestled in the trees, yet boasts an enchanting view of the lake and mountain scenery. We had a fun-filled and relaxing family vacation that included swimming to the island several times throughout the week, kayaking, fishing, and boating. The cottage was perfect for our family of four adults and two children, as we spent most of the time in or on the water. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. There were two minor damages from natural wear of the blinds and screen door. However, the owner promptly fixed these damages once notified. Our family is considering a stay next year as well, potentially for two weeks because one week just is not enough vacation time in this breathtaking place!
First time renting this charming little cottage and was one of our best spots on the lake. Prefect little cove with a beautiful dock. Which supported our 20 foot boat an 2 waverunners. Plenty of shade if you need . Two bedroom cottage was very clean and had all we needed to make our vacation excellent ! Swimming, fishing, boating , relaxing, We recommend it enough to already request for it again next summer.
Nice house good spot for boating, fishing and swimming!! Perfect for our size boat 18ft. Enjoyed the deck and the sand/ dock area below. Had a great time!! Would definitely go back again. Also, owners are very nice.
