Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Lakeview Tree House is like the Tahoe City vacation home you dream about - but it's real and waiting for your arrival! At this A-frame cabin, which has a raised deck built around a huge evergreen tree, you'll have a hot tub, tons of windows, a wood-burning stove, and views for miles.

Set just outside Dollar Point, this Tahoe lodge is just a block away from the Highway 28 bike trail leading you to popular points like Carnelian Bay, Tahoe City proper, and Tahoe City Cross Country Center. Stroll along the neighborhood beach, no more than a mile away. For prime skiing visit Northstar, about 12 miles away, or Squaw Valley which is 10 miles away.

All that skiing may make you want to go back to your cabin to soak in hot tub! Luckily, you'll have your own private spot to do so, though you could also simply sip cocoa, curl up under an afghan, or sit out on the deck's Adirondack chairs with the telescope. Use the deck's gas barbecue to make a filling dinner.

Inside, the cabin's middle level has a wood-burning stove and flatscreen TV with Netflix streaming and DVD. The great room also opens up to the kitchen with an electric stove, dishwasher, slow cooker, waffle iron, and more with casual seating at the breakfast bar or the window-side dining table.

Head downstairs to the den with a new gas fireplace, second TV, and futon, letting this room double as a bedroom. Two twins sit in a room beside the den, and a queen bed is in another room. On the top level find two more bedrooms with a queen bed each for an oh-so-cozy set up. A powder room on the top level, a full bathroom by the den, and another full on the main level will keep everyone comfortable. There's also a laundry room on the lower level. Eight guests will be quite happy here!

Beyond the immediate north Lake Tahoe region are tons of activities at Old Brockway Golf Course, Kings Beach State Park, and Crystal Bay, all six to nine miles away.

This lovely vacation rental will make you feel a bit like a kid while still having all the comforts of a fabulous home away from home.

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!v

Best A-Frame in Tahoe!

 • 5 of 5

My family and a few friends recently spent the weekend in this beautiful cabin. We were immediately struck by the amazing view. Lake view from the bedroom AND hot tub. Eating breakfast in the living room looking out over the snow-dusted trees. Cozy downstairs for the kids. Super convenient to Tahoe City and Kings Beach. And super clean! We can't wait to come back in the summer!

It's all about the view

 • 4 of 5

Pleasant stay along with family & 4kids! Extra gears for snow they were very useful since some of our companions didn't have any snow gears.

Home was very open with lots of windows to look out for the amazing view of the Lake! Super cozy cabin!

Heater works very well. But the hot water is very limited. Gas BBQ grill wasn't heating up well. The spa/jacuzzi was well worth staying here. especially from having too much fun all day we could enjoy and relax with a grand view of the Lake! What more can I ask for?. I would definitely stay here again and hope they have the water heater fix next time around. Cudos to 7-Eleven just a block away from home!

Great property

 • 5 of 5

Due to heavy wind and rain we were relegated to an indoor vacation for much of our time in Lake Tahoe. Thankfully this property enabled plenty of leisure, entertainment, and comfort for all of our guests.

Charming House, Great View, Poorly Managed

 • 3 of 5

Loved the house and location, but so many things -- mostly management related -- compromised our experience. The worst problems had been identified in other reviews but had not been addressed by management or are chronic problems: dirty hot tub water, no propane, biting bugs (probably fleas, no evidence of bed bugs) in house, insufficient lighting. Loved the new stove and waffle iron but another small/medium cooking pot and many more water/drink glasses are needed.

Owner's Response: We appreciate having the opportunity to respond to this feedback. The broken pumps and heater in the hot tub have been replaced, and we will change the water out regularly to ensure it is clean and ready for our guests. We have not located any fleas nor have we had other complaints about this, but we will keep our eyes open just in case. Thank you!
