Adorable cabin- perfect romantic getaway!
Everything about our trip was wonderful. The owners were fantastic and it was clear that they have put a lot of love into this cabin. Architecture was incredible, decorations and amenities were perfect. Great location and very secluded. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks to them we had a great 10 year anniversary.
Perfect romantic get away cottage!
Absolutely what we thought it would be like and loved it! Would definitely like to come back to this place again someday!
Awesome place and exactly as described
The level of details that the owners have put into their property is amazing. Carved wood accents, awesome landscaping, outdoor tub, grill, and up to date fixtures just to name a few things. Great spot for exploring the central and east side of Maui, located about 5 minutes up the the mountain from Makawao. (*Take the reverse road to Hana if you're primary goal is to get to the 7 sacred pools!). You unfortunately don't have a view down the mountain, blocked by landscaping, but on the otherhand if you want seclusion, you'll get it. Also note that there is no air conditioning. It might be a little warm during the day but with a fan in the window it'll cool quickly in the early evening. All and all, however, this place is a gem and you're jaw will be open as you drive in and first walk through. I was sad to leave.
Perfect romantic getaway
Beautiful home and location to enjoy our stay. Highly recommend and I hope we can return soon!
Wonderful romantic cottage. Weather was great! Very cool and night and perfect for sleeping. It was a perfect base to explore the up country of Maui.
We had a great stay at the Aloha Cottage! We loved looking at the stars at night through the beautiful octagon sky light!
The Road to Hana is a must see and do as is sunrise at Haleakala. The breathtaking views are quite spectacular and unique to Maui.
If you have a sense of adventure, you might enjoy ziplining at Piiholo Ranch or mountain biking in the Makawao Forest. Hiking the Bamboo Forest is another favorite attraction. Once there, you will see painted Eucalyptus trees and flowing waterfalls depending on the time of year.
Maui is a whale sanctuary and we are visited by 2,000 whales every year. There are plenty of excursions available for whale watching from November through April. Peak season is typically January through early April.
Additionally, there are many fine restaurants nestled in and around Upcountry. Bev Gannon's General Store in Haliimaile, is an upscale restaurant with fabulous libations and a tantalizing menu. There are several Bistro's and other fine dining restaurants in Makawao. Thirty minutes away in Paia Town, there are many diverse restaurants to choose from as well...all delicious and very affordable.
