About Sue Bjuro
We are a family with two boys and live and work on Island so available always during your stay. We love meeting new people and exploring new places and happy to provide any additional information or recommendations you may have.
Sue Bjuro purchased this Condo in 2014
Why Sue Bjuro chose George Town
This is our favourite complex on the Island. It is true Caribbean style and gives you the feeling of being right away from it all and not in a concrete jungle! We have stayed and visited friends at this complex for over 20 years and when this unit came available, we jumped at it!
What makes this Condo unique
All who stay - love it! Location cannot be beaten and views spectacular not to mention the snorkeling right off our beach and the sunset directly in front of you each night. It does not get much better than this! Just see our reviews for yourself!

Absolutely wonderful property! Great location!
Condo was beautifully furnished and the location is fantastic. Close to Georgetown shops and restaurants. Can walk out the door onto the small private beach and snorkel offshore. Very peaceful and calm!
Thank you so much and so glad you enjoyed our home away from home! We hope to welcome you back soon! Best regards, Sue
Lovely property with great owner
We came to the island with our two little boys and had a wonderful experience. Sue was quite gracious in answering all of our questions. She also helped arrange for a fantastic babysitter.
Her place is in a great location, minutes away from all the beaches on 7 Mile, and in close proximity to two supermarkets, a number of restaurants and Andy's rental car service.
The place itself is perfect for families, with ample space, laundry, a fully loaded kitchen, great deck with fantastic water / sunset view and a really nice pool overlooking the ocean.
Sue is correct in that the public buses make it easy to get around locally with ease, although I'm really happy we got a car for a few days. With a car, we were able to get to places like Smith Cove (a perfect beach,) Heritage Kitchen (best meal on island), Big Tree BBQ (wonderful experience) and Rum and Starfish Point.
I'd 100% recommend the Cayman Islands and Sue's lovely place to anyone!
The ocean is literally right there!
I stayed here with my sister and her husband. It was spacious for the 3 of us. Everything is updated and nice. The views are amazing. The pool is right there. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay here again.
Condo is updated and nice with nice kitchen and bathrooms.
Has a washer/dryer which is a plus.
The unit is stocked with essentials and more (ex. towels, flotation devices, hammock, toaster, coffee maker, games, and much more).
The pool is very nice and right there.
This is a small community so it is generally very quiet and private.
We walked to dinner, grocery, for drinks - there are many things nearby and the buses (vans) are easy to take ($2.50 US dollars pp) and comes by often if you prefer.
Views are amazing!
Snorkeling is awesome right out front. There is a shipwreck that is fun to swim to and there are loads of interesting things to see. We saw a variety of coral life including urchins, fish and squid.
Things to consider:
The unit is upstairs without an elevator.
The beach is rough with coral so beach shoes are needed (thought this terrain makes for good snorkeling)
Cruise ships come to Georgetown and can be right in your main view for sunsets.
Truly a Gem!

A Cayman Gem
Great property and equally great owners. Sue was a dream to work with both prior and during our week stay at Coco Plum. To summarize the location, it is located directly in between the hustle of Georgetown and SMB, which provided ultimate tranquility when desired. The unit is primarily owners and long term renters, with only a couple units available for short-term, weekly rentals. We found everyone at the small complex very nice and open to all questions about the island. The complex does offer good snorkeling directly off the property, but would recommend taking the walk up to the resorts on SMB if you are looking for the white sand beaches (bring wading shoes!). Again, what Coco Plum delivers is tranquility away from the busy resorts that can have up to SEVEN ship loads of folks dropped off on the island each morning.
Some other thoughts that I would like to share to further enhance your vacation:
- No rental car is needed, you can walk or take the bus ($2.50/pp); however, one of our favorite things to do was to drive around to Star Fish Point, pack a cooler with drinks/food, and snorkel, relax, and fish on your section on the point. Very clear, calm waters with great sea life. Then head the 2 miles to Rum point for a cocktail, appetizer.
- There are three excellent snorkel/dive sites in Georgetown. We brought gear, but you can rent. The sites are Eden Rock and Devils grotto (both excellent). Just search Eden Rock Dive center. They rent or you can go out free if you have your own gear. The third is called Hamburger reef because it is directly off the Burger King (amazing view for a FF restaurant, LOL). Spotts Beach also offers the opportunity to see turtles around the grass.
- Fishing does take some work and patience, with your best shot at 10 - 70# tarpon in the inland canals.
- Food, BRING $$, yes, it is expensive. Rum point and Lobster Pot stood out from the others, but DEFINATELY try Sam's Quality Jerk & more. This is a local favorite and the best jerk on the island, hands down! Not much to look at, but very inexpensive and would recommend you try things out of your comfort zone. The cow skin soup was amazing! (They will let you sample if you ask).
- Lastly, leave for the airport 2:30 prior to flight, turnover day is a show. The people we saw arrive late had utter panic on their faces ... don't be that person, LOL!
- Outside of the 20% pegged exchange rate, everything on this vacation exceeded our expectations!
Grand Cayman Paradise
This was our second visit to Grand Cayman, and we were so fortunate to have chosen to spend our month on GC at Cocoplum #8. This condo is ideally located in a small, quiet, charming complex at the south end of Seven Mile Beach. The George Town waterfront, restaurant and shopping areas, the restaurants and shops at Camana Bay, the grocery store, and much of Seven Mile Beach itself are all within walking distance. When we wanted to go further afield, the local buses are very accessible and easy to use. On days when we wanted to explore more distant parts of the island, Andy's car rental is a short 10 minute walk from Cocoplum.
The condo is beautifully furnished and decorated, with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms and living room. There were lots of thoughtful touches such as high quality beach towels, water shoes, snorkel gear, tennis rackets, etc. available for our use. There was also an adorable, oceanside heart-shaped shared pool (which we often had to ourselves), loungers, BBQ grills (it was so much fun to make dinner poolside!) and a tennis court. The condo itself and the grounds and common areas at Cocoplum were all meticulously and beautifully maintained.
As if all of that weren't enough, Cocoplum is steps from the ocean, and the view from our private patio was stunning. We had our coffee there in the mornings, gazing out over the turquoise Caribbean Sea, and in the evenings it was the perfect spot for a glass of wine accompanied by phenomenal sunsets. Oh, and the snorkeling right out front is incredible. The Wreck of the Gamma is a short swim away, and we saw lots of colorful fish, cuttlefish, and even a stingray. The beach is somewhat rocky (as are many spots on the island) but with water shoes you can swim here - and we did, every day! If you crave the soft, sugary sands further up 7MB, they are just a short walk or bus ride away.
Our hostess, Sue, was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She is warm, caring, and professional. She was always very prompt and thorough in responding to our questions as we planned our trip and totally attentive to our needs (without being at all obtrusive) during our stay. Everything about our Grand Cayman vacation was perfect thanks to Sue. Thank you so much!
We look forward to returning to Grand Cayman and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere but Cocoplum #8! With its amenities, value, charm, and location, it is a very special place, and truly a Caribbean paradise.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and it was a pleasure having you to stay and we hope to welcome you back any time! You were perfect guests in every way and appreciate your kind words.
Our property is quaint, secluded, very private and right on the beach yet conveniently located within walking distance to pub/bars, restaurants, health club facility/gym, car rental, hotel, bakery, dive shops, grocery store, doctor, dentist and pharmacy and a spa.
