About Ginny Williams
Ginny & Brad Williams reside in Dallas, Texas. They searched for three years before finding the perfect mountain chalet in Angel Fire. Having grown up in Dallas, it has been Brad's life long dream to own house in the mountains. For Ginny, this is her happy place. They are excited to share their beautiful vacation home with their guests.
Ginny Williams purchased this House in 2013
Why Ginny Williams chose Angel Fire
Perfect for hiking in the summer being adjacent to the Elk Trail. Be on the look out for Elk and Deer. Virtually no vehicle traffic. Very quiet surroundings. In winter there is easy access to the cabin. No steep drives. No need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
What makes this House unique
The Williams Cabin is located on 2 acres, bounded on two sides by greenbelts. The quiet setting on a cul-de-sac is easy to find. Only 1.3 miles from Lowes Market, 4 minutes from the ski resort and 4 minutes from the country club. For children, there is hiking, biking, sledding, and exploring. The setting has over 100 pine trees surrounding a broad meadow. There are deer, elk, rabbits, grey squirrels, and hummingbirds.

Great Location, Impressively Clean Home
My family and I spent a week in this very clean (seriously), well located home. Nice and quiet. My wife and daughter spent the week reading on the deck. Their goal was to read a novel per day (literally) and enjoy the coolness of the mountains - mission accomplished! Bike park was 7 minute drive away (that's where I spent my week). Close to town (but very quiet neighborhood as the closest neighbor is a long baseball throw away - if you have a good, young, arm) and easy to get what few supplies you might need. We cooked steaks on the nice gas grill provided with the home. Pots, pans, plates, etc., were in abundance and nice ones too, not the cheap stuff I have in my house! Everything in the house worked great. Plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. The Owner, Brad Williams, was fantastic to work with. We would rent this home again without hesitation - zero regrets. Many thanks to the Williams Family for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
Perfect Escape from Texas Heat!
This Cabin is fabulous , perfectly situated on the Elk trail with Deer and Elk coming into the yard, we sat on the gorgeous deck drinking coffee in the morning with our sweatshirts on ( in July) and wine in the evening. It was heaven. The house has everything you could want, a very well stocked kitchen, a excellent propane grill outside, roomy , tastefully decorated, and gorgeous grounds. It was just what we needed to get out of Dallas in July ! Owners are extremely easy to work with and responsive. We will be back
Great location. Comfortable Cabin.
We rented this cabin for a Spring Break/Ski trip with another family. Eight people were able to stay comfortably (4 adults, 4 Children under age 7). Loft only has a twin bed, but had space for a second small airbed for our fourth child. Both queen beds were comfortable.
Location was beautiful and had easy access to skiing, restaurants, etc. Washer/Dryer were not working during our stay, but owner stated they had plans to have it replaced. Trash removal was a bit tedious as directions were unclear (did not provide address for disposal - dumpsters close to cabin were locked). Would consider both to be minor inconveniences and would definitely recommend the cabin/location to other families.
Beautiful Property but...
The property is beautiful. The western furnishings make for comfortable and fun stay. We woke one morning to bull elk passing the kitchen window. How cool is that?
There was confusion about the checkout time. When we rented and on the vrbo site, it said 11am checkout. We received an email from owners saying it was 9am because the cleaning crew had to prepare for the next renters. We compromised on 10am, but when on vacation with little kids, we didn't need to have to move early.
Leaving at an early time is further challenged by having no garbage disposal onsite. You have to bag it up and drive it over 2 miles to town. The directions sent us to dumpsters that were locked....one dumpster had trash all around it that had been rummaged by animals. We found a good dump location in town, but the drive back and forth, and disposal hunt, took about 30 mins. They need a spot on site and then contract with cleaning crew to drive it to town.
We skied. We tried to dry some clothes but the dryer didn't work. We let the owner know but received no response.
Beautiful and Practical
My family had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. The place was clean. I’m allergic to down feathers so I am glad that I brought my own pillow because some pillows were down. The location was easy to get to, 5 minutes away from skiing, and simply beautiful. We played in Angel Fire, Red River, and Taos. There was plenty to do for a whole week! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
Nice home BUT pet friendly
This is a very nice home with comfortable furnishings, for the most part. The master bed was a little worn on one side but the living room, dining, and other bedrooms were good. I didn't do my research thoroughly before booking or we would not have stayed here. This home is pet friendly (don't get me wrong, I love pets, but just not to share a vacation home with). There was pet hair on some of the furniture and rugs and our daughter is HIGHLY allergic! On the plus side, I contacted Ginny and she IMMEDIATELY got back with me and assured me someone would be out soon to clean the floors. The first available cleaner couldn't come for 2 days but they did come clean the floors and it was better. I do feel like Ginny and the management company are great to work with and if not for the "pet friendly" part, I would recommend this property to anyone WITHOUT pet allergies.
We are so disappointed you did not have a great experience at our Cabin. Our expectation is for the Cabin to be spotlessly clean for our guests. The management company advised they had to engage a new cleaner who unfortunately got sick. Hence the reason for delay.
We try to limit pets as much as possible. The previous guest did not advise us of having a pet. We are so sorry for any discomfort for you daughter.
We would like to apologize directly. Please send you address and email for a partial refund.
Kind regards, Ginny & Brad
