Cute and Convenient
We had a wonderful stay in Savannah and this cute and convenient property had a lot to do with that! The location is outstanding, we were able to walk to most all our activities and the times we were out of walking distance, the trolley stop is right around the corner. The unit was clean, nicely decorated and had anything we could want in the kitchen.
We did have a snafu with the parking space, there weren't detailed directions so we entered the garage improperly, so it cost us to get out of the garage at the end of our stay. When I mentioned this to the property management company, they did refund us the parking cost. This was above and beyond, since it turns out we didn't enter the space correctly. Word to the wise... don't pull a parking ticket when entering the garage, there must be a way to use the pass to enter, which we were not aware of.
Overall, great property, I highly recommend!!
Thank you for your review and your feedback. I am happy to hear we could work something out with the parking! We are always happy to hear when our guests enjoy their stay. Please come back and see us again.
It was close to everything and had everything I needed. Dealing with the parking structure was easy once you figure out how it all works. I wanted to be close to downtown and the river walk and I know how lout it can get in those areas and I did not think the noise level was bad at all. It will be very hard to stay anywhere else anymore after staying here.
Fantastic vacation spot to celebrate milestone birthdays!!
This property and location were fantastic! The communication from the rental group prior, during and after were stellar! There was never a time that we didn’t know what to expect, what was expected of us, and how to navigate entry/exit of the property. We would highly recommend this property and working with Southern Belle Properties!
We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
Location, location, location
My husband and our two sons and myself stayed here prior to Thanksgiving. We arrived on a Sunday, I am a real estate agent, so the details on the check in process were easy, and I understood how to open a lock box. The difficulty we had was that the address of the property does not match the address of the entry door. The entry door is on a different street. Looking back at emails, these details were there but in the very first email... with 12 to follow that didn’t have that info in it. :-)
The property itself was great, plenty of room for the 4 of us and we were 2 blocks from anything we wanted to do. The proximity to City Market was fantastic. So many great local coffee shops around and shopping! There is a nail salon on the first floor of the building, and you could smell the acrylic sometimes - it took us awhile to figure out that smell.
We would 100% stay here again.
Great facility, very clean, well located to things to do and well kept.t.
A couple of pretty small things to be aware of when you go and that we experienced. Street parking is very limited and always full in Savannah, so if you are driving know that finding a place to park while you load and unload bags can be difficult.
The entry to the building is a coded system. It didn't work one evening about 11:30 pm when we were coming back to the property. We had to stand outside in the cool and drizzle 20 minutes while we called and texted someone to let us in. Eventually someone that happened to be at the property came down.
We had a rental car for 1 night of our stay and the card reader to the parking garage (about a block away) didn't work during the day when I went to park between in the 8-5 time frame. Seems the garage is used by nearby offices during the day quite a bit and showed full. That may have why the card reader didn't work as the reader worked that evening when I tried again and the next day when I checked out.
These things, while minor nuisances didn't detract from our stay or our opinion of the facility. It's a beautiful and well appointed apartment (maybe add hand towels in the kitchen)
with lots of space. It was very clean and well kept and we loved the location within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to do. The bedroom is in the back of the apartment well away from any street noise that may be generated by activities in the nearby commercial areas.
Nice property near everything
The property was very clean and nicely appointed. The staff and communication were great. Unloading at the property is a little difficult if you have multiple pieces of luggage. Also, if you're a light sleeper the noise in town can go all night especially on weekends.
Broughton Street accommodates pedestrian traffic, and several of the places you most want to visit during your Savannah vacation rentals stay are just a short walk away. A typical mix of the old and the new, the Broughton district is home to the Savannah College of Art and Design. Galleries, art supply houses, coffee shops and studios infuse the vibe of the street with a creative, cultural dynamic that many visitors to vacation rentals Savannah GA find irresistible.
Curated collections and designer brands combine to make Broughton Street shopping ultimately satisfying. Kate Spade, Lululemon and Kendra Scott rub shoulders with locally-owned shops like Zia, which offers upscale imported goods and designer jewelry, and 24E Design Company, which sells a bit of everything.
If you have the kids along, be sure to look in at Planet Fun. Comic books, vintage action figures and nostalgic games like Donkey Kong make browsing just as enjoyable as buying. Afterwards, earn extra points with a stop at Leopold's Ice Cream for homemade goodies.
The free Historic District shuttle stops at all the city's town squares as well as other points of interest, so you can see more of Savannah's most frequented sites along with local residents and other Savannah vacation homes guests. These include City Market and River Walk where you can make the most of your visit while tuning into the Historic District's distinctly intriguing atmosphere.
City Market, nestled between Ellis and Franklin squares, covers four city blocks. Located in the same spot since the 18th century, City Market underwent renovations in 1985 to become a mecca for Savannah vacation rentals guests seeking a complete Southern experience. With its wealth of restaurants covering the gourmet gamut, live music, and plenty of unique shops, this large marketplace is one of the city's central hubs.
Take a trolley car from City Market to the Savannah River Street, a must-see section of the city for Savannah vacation rentals guests. Stately brick warehouses converted to stores and galleries, cobble-paved streets and other remnants of bygone days make you feel as if you are stepping back in time while the river views and bustle keep you firmly rooted in the present.
