This home was built by my grandfather in 1960. The actual property and 15 acres behind it were actually purchased by him in the 1940´s.
My father remodeled the home and we really want to keep it in the family and the keep the rich heritage for our own grandchildren. We had the idea that other´s may recognize and enjoy the natural beauty and peacefullness of our home. ..so we are sharing it by renting it out to our VRBO guests.
I bought this home from my dad in 2005. We all brainstormed as to how we would preserve this wonderful place and with the purchase of the property...decided to rent it out. We have many return guests. It is really a special spot in North Idaho. It makes me happy to share our special place.
Morning sun! Osprey´s flying overhead. Privacy. We have had some of our most favorite family times at this lake house. The house is set up so you can enjoy peace and quiet. ..time on the large deck. ..and still enjoy family games around the table.
There is room to hike, enjoy the sandy beach that is gradual enough to accomodate a small toddler for wadding or allow diving off the 40´ dock.
I have friends that work for fish and game...they tell me mine is their favorite dock for fishing on the lake. Fish pass right by our dock to feed in the back bay and we are right at the lake side where they enter and exit.
I love being able to watch the water activity at the dock from our deck.
Cozy home, a bit out of the way but worth it! Beautiful setting and view. Great for a relaxing family getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially taking the paddleboat out on the lake. Diana was very helpful and responsive to questions. We'd like to stay here again!
Decided to take a mini vacation to Silverwood and found this gem!
Everything you would need is provided and then some! Beautiful location right on the lake! The view is outstanding! Being right off of the sandbar was a plus for our beginner swimmer - he loved to be standing in the middle of the lake.
Diana was immediate in responding to our questions and is lovely.
Hope to be the first of many stays here!
This was our second stay and it was as wonderful this time! We can't wait to come back. Perfect dock, living space and quiet. Thanks Diana for sharing you paradise with us!
Our family was looking for a long weekend getaway where we could disconnect from work, relax and create memories for our two children (ages 4 and 2). This cabin and location delivered with peace, quiet and lake amenities that exceeded our expectations. The cabin is homey in all the right ways, with a fully appointed kitchen, open concept and living room with two awesome leather chairs - perfect for morning coffee or relaxing at the end of a long day on the lake. Amenities at the lake include a secluded beach, with sand that our children loved and a paddle boat, canoe and kayak for exploring. One note of caution: Young children should always be accompanied on the path to the lake - it's rather steep and although there's a railing, a misstep could result in a fall. Diana (owner) was very accommodating and friendly, as were the neighbors. Overall, a wonderful experience - we'll consider coming back! Thank you Diana!
We had a great experience this weekend at the log house on Hayden Lake. We have 2 kids, ages 9 and 4, and they were more that happy. We were greeted by a plate of cookies on the counter when we arrived, and the lights were on for us. We loved going out on the paddleboat, and the kids enjoyed catching small bluegill right off the dock. The beds downstairs were very comfy. We did need a fire upstairs due to the colder weather, but it was easy to use, and very cozy. We also enjoyed the firepit out front and roasted some marshmallows. I will deffinitely come back!
Easy access to both Triple Play Amusement park and Silverwood Theme Park.
