About Sue Clarke
My name is Susan Clarke. I am in my 50's and am a teacher by profession. I no longer teach, but own an herb and oil small business together with a business partner. Even though I no longer teach in the system I have found that teaching is in my blood as I teach Usui Ryoho Reiki and hold small classes on subjects pertaining to our business such as "Essential oils and their uses" and "Herbal infusions, Decoctions and Tinctures" I have lived my entire life in South Africa, KwaZulu Natal, beginning life on Sugarcane farms in northern Natal and then in Durban from the age of 9. I live on the property together my trusted companions, gus the dog and Toast the cat.
Sue Clarke purchased this House in 1982
Why Sue Clarke chose Durban North
My husband chose this property before we married, but I fell in love with it because of the spacious gardens and classic 1950's architecture. I have stayed because the neighbourhood is filled with trees and we get to see the most beautiful sunsets over the valley.

Durban North is situated north of Durban City on the other side of the Umngeni River. We are a 20 minute walk from then wild Virginia Beach from which you can do some surf fishing. If you wish to swim and suntan, we would suggest that you rather go to one of the public beaches such as North Beach or Umhlanga Beach. There are a number of Trails to walk such as The Virginia Bush Trail or the Beachwood Mangrove Swamps. These activities are easier to access if you have your own transport.
There is a public swimming pool within a 5 minute walk from the house. they charge a minimal fee of R8 which is about $0.58.
There is a shopping hub about 20 minutes walk away where you will find a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, churches, health stores and so on.
