We are close to Bachechi Open Space which is a property of 27 acres, lots of trails and biking areas to explore. Our home is an iconic property in the North Valley area. If is known as the lizard house as it has a giant lizard on the side which can be seen from the road. It is kind of a landmark in the North Valley area.

Beautiful & Interesting Property
We rented this property for a long weekend family gathering that included our kids and grandkids. The house worked out really well with each family having their own sleeping quarters. Lots of room to gather whether for games, food TV or outside....never felt cramped for space. The house is a true custom built house that has loads of interesting art and artifacts. The kids were kind of mesmerized at times, to be honest. Everything we needed for the weekend was there for us. The only negative we could find was that there wasn't anything with empty drawers in the master bedroom so we had to live out of the suitcases. There was ample hanging space in an armoire, tho. That being said, we would recommend this house to anyone and would definitely use it again ourselves.
An iconic property
We know the property from the outside. So when I say it on line and knew it was pet friendly and had 4 bedrooms with baths I new it would be perfect for us. It was easy to arrange.
This house is spacious, welcoming, and unique. Our family consisted of 3 generations: grandparents, son and daughter and their spouses, and 4 grandchildren. All of us felt at home in this beautiful home; some played pool; others fed the fish; others watered some of the plants.. When we came home after seeing the sights, we enjoyed the peaceful location of "Casa Bonita."
Spacious and fun
This house was a delight and far exceeded our expectations. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood near a walking path and open space. It had plenty of room for our large family and was clean and had everything we could need. Stay here if you are in Albuquerque.
Perfect family gathering
The Lizard House was the perfect place for us to call "home". The four generations all gathered around the patio and dining room table. What a joy! Thank you!
Wonderful adobe treasure trove.
We had an excellent stay at the Lizard House. It was funky and cool at the same time. It had everything we needed and more. The photos don’t do the house justice, because it was beyond expectation.
The house was in a great location close to the Rio Grande, with easy access to the old town, and historic route 66.
The Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico is located in the heart of the North Valley of Bernalillo County. It is seven miles from downtown Albuquerque, the Rio Grande River is to the West and the Sandia Mountains to the East, we enjoy rural quiet living with an abundance of wildlife. Our main north/south streets are Rio Grande Boulevard and Fourth Street. Rio Grande Boulevard winds its way along the Rio Grande River and bosque and provides an excellent view of our agricultural heritage. Fourth Street has been designated a scenic byway due to its historic Route 66 and El Camino Real roots.
