Why Owner chose Morrisville
Historic Bucks County! Our neighborhood is called Morris heights, or The Graystones. At Graystones, located at what is now the borough’s northeast corner at Crown Street and Highland Avenue, William Penn met with members of the Lenape Indian tribe under a white oak tree in 1682 to negotiate the first land-purchase survey in Pennsylvania. The site was named after the extraordinary outcropping of gray bedrock which protrudes from the ground at the northwest end of the site, this guest house is built on this outcropping of stone! We are steeped in history here. This is probably one of the most unique back deck properties up or down the Delaware River! You will leave refreshed and inspired. Hot summer, dip in the river; fall, enjoy the leaf peeping; winter, cross country ski on the canal path. All seasons offer any visitor a beautiful stay...we knew we would live here before we even stepped out of our car.

Ladies getaway weekend
We had a delightful time at this cozy lodge. The property was well maintained; inside was inviting and warm. Kitchen was well stocked with general items which was a great added touch. Wish we could have made smores [with the stocked smores shelf] but the weather was a bit chilly to have a fire outside. The fire inside suited us perfectly. We had dinner delivered; relaxed with wine and wonderful friends. We definitely recommend this Vrbo to others as we would stay here again should we find ourselves in Morrisville again. Bathrooms looked to be newly remodeled, bedrooms were adorable. Walking trail nearby just along the canal was awesome. Judy was attentive and friendly. A lovely weekend all in all.
The best in the area!
Judy is an excellent host. The place is cozy and chill, near a lot of great attractions and a prefect place to unplug and relax. We want to go back again! 10/10!
Judy's house is comfortable and in a beautiful setting. We were traveling in Trenton on business travel, and it made for a restful place to spend our evenings.
This VRBO is perfect ! The location makes it really easy to get around Bucks County and NJ. There is plenty of room and the home is well stocked with everything I have in my own home. Judy even greeted us with homemade cinnamon rolls! My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
We had a wonderful stay visiting with friends. Judith is a lovely host!
Homey Retreat with Lovely Host
Beautiful, very comfortable and relaxing to be in stone and beam summer house with lots of windows, deck with fire pit, working fireplace, updated bathrooms and perfect for location decorative touches. Seriously, this host is a perfectionist in providing what you need to have a quiet place with basics in pantry and stocked wine/liquor available (for very reasonable purchase) so you don't have to run out to find if you just want to settle in.
Lots of offerings for dog sitting, meal provision, etc. while providing complete privacy and accessibility for questions.
Within a 5 minute walk to the canal trail, though busy at this entrance point, it becomes peaceful in just a 5-10 minute walk. Great for biking or walking. 15 miles to New Hope. (Would be an excellent bike ride there and back!)
Only small drawbacks for us were unreliable wifi (though you can purchase a reliable set up for $15) and the location in Morrisville was across from a rather industrial landscape and busy road. However, trees provided almost full screen from that view and in the Fall with the windows largely closed, the cars not really bothersome. (I may be exceptionally attuned to traffic sounds on getaways as I really just want to hear the sounds of nature; others may not notice it!) The dock is sweet but you are pretty opened up to the industrial scene at that point in the yard and the canal did not look good for paddle boarding (wouldn't want to fall in this water near Morrisville), though kayaking, if willing to do a few portages looked pretty good and water becomes increasingly clear as you head North. And, the Delaware River, great for both SUPing and kayaking/canoeing, sailing is only another hundred yards or so away!
Location is an easy and scenic 25-30 minutes drive to New hope on River Road, half that to Washington's Crossing Historic Park.
The house and the hosts are awesome and the location largely over-rides the other issues. It's a wonderful space at a very good price!!!
