The property overlooks the Nuevo Portil golf course hole 9 and 10 with a private pool and garden. Main building with three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus annex over the Mediterranean courtyard with two bedrooms and bathroom (ideal for older children or grandparents)

Only 15 minutes walk from miles of unspoilt coastline. This Spanish resort is ideal for year round golf and beach holidays.

The Sunday Telegraph on the 24th February 2008 stated ' Huelva has some of the best beaches in Europe' and we agree.

Local area: Within 10 minutes walk of Villa Limonero is a selection of local shops a small supermarket/ bars/restaurants and miles of fantastic unspoilt BEACH. There are larger supermarkets in Punta Umbria and Cartaya(about 15 minutes by car), you will be sent our full local information after booking or please email and I will gladly forward to you by return.

Beach and activities: Nuevo Portil beach is very suitable for young children, as the Fleche del Rompido, protects the beach from the high winds and rough currents of the Atlantic ocean. The beach stretches for 14Km and is backed by juniper woods and sand dunes.

The vast woodland is very popular for activity tourism like rambling, cycling and horse riding. Bike hire and Horse riding are is available locally per hour, half day or all day.

On the road into Cartaya you will also find the Kartodromo de Cartaya (Carting track) open year round and the very popular Aquopolis (water park) which opens normally the middle of June until first week in September.

Places of interest : HUELVA : The most visited attraction in Huelva is Muelle de las Carabelas, a wharf where you can see replicas of the Pinta, Nina and Santa Maria and from which Columbus sailed to discover the Americas. A visit to the Monastery at La Rabida is very interesting this is where Columbus planned his journey.

DONANA: One of Spain’s loveliest national parks and one of the largest dune areas in Europe, it is a World Heritage Site.

SEVILLE: The capital of Andalucia and the seat of the Andalucian Parliament. The truly wonderful city, the Plaza de Toros, the Cathedral and the Giralda tower with amazing views of the city from the top, Royal palace, the Santa Cruz quarter with it’s narrow streets and small squares full of flowers and charm. are all worth a visit. SIERRA DE ARACENA: Villages of white houses set amidst woods of holm and cork oak- above all the best cured ham in Spain known as Jabugo.

EL ROCIO: Famous for the annual Rocio Pilgrimage is a strange outpost of the wild west

The perfect frame for a golf tradition.

For 7th consecutive time we have used the 2nd week of November to finish our golf season under the sun of Andalusia. For 7th consecutive time we have use Villa Limonero as the base of our stay. It provides us with the perfect frame; it is spacious for 10 people, well equipped, fire place if cold, air-con if warm and now also Wi-Fi!! Needless to say that we are already planning the 8th time.....

Lovely villa.

We enjoyed a lovely holiday in this well appointed villa in early September. The accommodation is spacious and the annexe a good addition for family members who want a little space from the larger party. The pool and gardens were a lovely place for our two very small children, and the lockable courtyard area meant that they could go outside without adult supervision.

The owner was very pleasant and accommodating and the manager very patient when we arrived rather later than we expected. The instructions for the drive from Saville airport were a little confusing and might need to be reviewed, although it was dark and less easy for us to find our way.

The villa was clean, although a little more attention to drawers and cupboards would be appreciated, and it's closeness to shops and beach made it a very suitable place to stay with children. We definitely hope to be back in the future.

With regards to cleaning of the drawers and cupboards, the villa has a spring clean every April before the start of the summer season, and we expect the guests to leave as they found, unfortunately it looks like this has not happened this summer and the time restraints between change overs does not allow the cleaners to do this. Please accept my apologies.

Good family residence

The property offers a large accommodation with a courtyard and annex , ideal for a large family or group ! The pool and grounds are spacious and private with an outlook onto a golf course which , whilst we were there , was not at all busy . The facilities are good and the location well placed to access the local restaurants and bars .

We enjoyed our stay and felt it worth another visit in future .

Fantastic villa in a beautiful location.

The villa was superb, high quality decor and everything provided. Generously sized pool in shaded area. Great outdoor areas for relaxing and dining. Close to local restaurants and shops the local town has a very friendly atmosphere. Best beaches I have visited in Spain - 14 km of unspoilt golden sands. Would highly recommend it.

Summer 2015 - 2nd visit to Villa.

This was our second visit to the villa having been there a couple of years ago. As before a really smooth trip out, we flew into Seville and drove down. Excellent communication before we went and Pam was waiting for us at the Villa when we arrived to welcome us and go through the keys etc.

We had an excellent break, the villa as before was excellent 8 of us for the first week so having the annex was very useful, the pool got a lot of use over the first few days as it was hot. We were in the sea about 10 out of the 14 days I'm sure there is a little micro climate there as it's Atlantic sea water but warm.

We spent a lot of time just relaxing outside the villa as the outside furniture is very good standard , watching the golfers of various abilities coming down the fairway at the bottom of the garden.

The BBQ got a lot of use, mainly for things we bought at the massive sea food / meat / veg market in Huelva. Also it is now very, very cheap to eat and drink in this area, it is mainly Spanish people who holiday there and coming from the UK we found the prices remarkable. You can widely get a small beer for 1 euro, and you can eat out in a variety of places for 10 Euro a head.

Very relaxing, no dramas just what you need, would recommend and we will probably be back for a third visit at some stage.
