Guestbook comments from the manager

Details: We would like to include this comment in the Guest Book: Nicole and Raymond have a large and beautifully furnished home, approximately a 10 minute drive from the centre of Sarlat. The house was slightly awkward to find on the uphill road from Sarlat, but the drive was worthwhile. Neat gardens, off-street parking, and solitude awaited us. The entire house (including the swimming pool) was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with quality electrical appliances, everything imaginable for our cooking needs, and generous breakfast items. Although Nicole spoke very little English we managed to communicate very well. (The property agent spoke very good English and was able to assist with directions.) Nicole was a very thoughtful, generous and house-proud hostess. We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much and were sorry that we weren't able to stay longer. We would certainly stay at Pech Pinet again, if we ever return to the Dordogne. Merci beaucoup Nicole. From Australia - Irene, David, and Bethany.

OUTSTANDING

  • 5 of 5

The owner, Natalie is most charming and very helpful. Pech Pinet's location is in the country and offers spectaular views from the verandah of the mountains, neighboring property, and natural habitat. Also, the swimming pool is very large and always immaculate. The property hss wonderful landscaping, Natalie's hard work makes this possible.

The house is decorated beautifully and is very warm and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped and organized very well. Bedding is most comfortable. Shower was delightful.

The city of Sarlat-la-Caneda is a short drive and offers a myriad of restaurants. Grocery shopping is very accessible and several different ones to choose from.

Pech Pinet is a 5 star property and Natalie is a superb hostess. I highly recommend Pech Pinet.

Amazing location, relaxing and super property

  • 5 of 5

Prior to arrival, Catherine was extremely helpful with maps and all data needed. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Nicole the owner who during our time could not do enough to assist.

The house was extremely well appointed and in a delightful spot just outside of Sarlat. It was spotless and catered for all of our needs. There were four of us and the house enabled us to have our own space.

A must for a stay in the Dordogne area as there is so much to see from this handy location.

Many thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Le Pech Pinet Perfection

  • 5 of 5

After a warm welcome from the owner, Nicole who showed us round the property we soon settled in and enjoyed the spacious and very comfortable surroundings. Everything we needed was available which made our stay perfect. The views from the balconies were delightful. Very quiet area but only a short distance from Sarlat where there is plenty of choice for shopping and eating out. Many lovely villages nearby and just a short drive to the Dordogne. Would highly recommend Le Pech Pinet and hope to visit again soon.

Great property neat Sarlat

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely week in this property. This is our 3rd year in the area and this place is worth all the 5 stars. It's so comfortable and well equipped, they've gone to the trouble of fully kitting out the kitchen, wine fridge, coffee machines, even a beer pump for a draft beer keg you can pick up from the supermarket. Lovely countryside surroundings and so close to Sarlat, 5 mins in the car. Loads of space for us and 2 kids. Kids loved the pool, and the table tennis table was a happy addition too.Very clean and the host is a lovely lady.

Formidable !

  • 5 of 5

We have been travelling to various parts of France for many years, and our stay here was by far the best.

Nicole was very welcoming as well as being discreet and her home is wonderful.

The house is well equipped, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with beautiful gardens and a great pool ! Breakfasts on the balcony listening to the Cuckoos was a real treat !

Sarlat is a short drive with plenty of great restaurants, shops and markets. A beautiful part of France and a great base to see the area.

Thanks, and we will be back !

The Best of the Best

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Nicole Pouget's house 8 years ago and returned in Februaryfor a second stay. We are former VRBO owners and know what makes for a great place to stay. This house is extraordinary, and that is an understatement -- rhe best of the best! Five stars is far too few. It has everything needed for a perfect stay and much more.Nicole is a gracious host and, the Sarlat region is one we have come to love. We hope to come back soon for an even longer stay in a house that is truly a home away. Paul and Mary
