Issues that should have been taken care of prior to arrival and mainly by cleaning crew
Upon arriving into the cabin, we noticed that the floors had not been swept at all. As we were going from room to room to look over the cabin we found dental piks in the closets of 2 rooms. One of the rooms as previously reviewed are inside another room and can be awkward of you sleep a certain way!!! The remotes to the tvs were all in the wrong rooms. The only tv that worked was the tv in the living area and the tv that was in the middle room upstairs. We unloaded our cars and then started putting our groceries up in the fridge. We waited for the rest of our party to arrive and in doing so, we watched movies and games. As the other party arrived they brought more food and started to stow there food away when they noticed water underneath the boxes of fish. The meat that we had prepped for our bbq tomorrow had a funny smell to it and the fish had just been sitting out also for 8 hrs without any cool air. We tried several times, unplugging and plugging it. We messed with the setting and all to no avail. The first night we were supposed to do a fish fry. Instead we all had to drive into town and eat at McDonald's. I called Jimmy and at first I didnt get an answer. I called again and his wife answered. I do realize it was late but we had to let someone know that our food was going bad. Jimmy stated that he would have someone come out in the morning. So at that point my husband and a few other husbands were upset and started trying to figure the fridge out. When we got up Saturday morning, the fridge had seemed to start to cool. The freezer was as cool as the refrigerator should be and the refrigerator was like a cooler. I was upset but was determined not to allow these things to ruin our trip. I spoke with Jimmy that morning and explained to him about the fridge is working but not at it's full potential. He said he would still send the guy out to the cabin to fish. I let him know that we would be at the lake but some of the men would be here. He said ok. THE REPAIR MAN NEVER CAME. I spoke with Jimmy Sunday when I thought I had left something in the cabin. He never asked if the repair came or what was done. He did however tell me to send him the total of the food loss. I feel like we should be refunded for the inconvenience of everything that happened this weekend. I'm not sure how much Jimmy is allowed to do, but he seems like he is an honest man, besides the fact the repair man didn't come.

Our family of 14 had an AMAZING time! There wasn’t a thing we would change about the cabin, the hot water heater kept up with us perfectly, the location couldn’t get better the hot tub was great after long days and the conversations under the gazebo will be forever remembered! We will definitely vacation here again.
Stay at Broken Bow
Overall everything was really good with the exception of one thing. We thought we would all have separate bedrooms and we did but one of the bedrooms only had access through another bedroom which made it really ackward. There was a Queen size bed in a bedroom and you had to go through there to get to the door to another bedroom with 3 twin beds and that room was like a closet. It had no windows at all. So with all adults staying in the upstairs it made it kind of ackward. Also there wasnt enough toilet paper and things like that stocked in the cabin and alot of the glass on the windows and doors and mirrors had not been cleaned at all. The hot tub was really nice and the size of the space was great and the outdoor patio was awesome.
We stayed at Blue Bass Cabin for 4 days, 3 night. The cabin was beautiful and nicely equipped and decorated. However, our joy was short-lived as we were notified upon arrival by the repair man that the hot tub needed a new heating coil which had been ordered and should arrive the next day to be immediately installed for us to use, which was a really big reason that we chose this particular cabin. The part was installed the next day @ 10pm that night and we were told it would be ready for use in 4 hours, wrong again. The temp on the hot tub never got above 57 degrees even a full day later it was still at 57 degrees. We attempted to call the contacts hat were listed to tell them of the problems that we were experiencing and they did not answer calls, text or emails. This is very poor business practice in my opinion. Also, the was no hot water after one person showered which was completely unacceptable. The beds were very uncomfortable and the cable and internet upstairs did not work. We have stayed in several Home Away rentals and this was by far the worst experience that we have ever had. I would never rent this cabin again nor recommend anyone stay at this location.
