Upscale and immaculate private apartment in a classic and totally updated Hawaiian Plantation-style home in White Sands Beach Estates, a two minute walk from the White Sands (Magic Sands) Beach. The apartment (Ohana as we say in Hawa'ii) has two large rooms, and includes a kitchenette, separate bathroom, and a very secluded outdoor lanai. There is also a fenced garden with custom picnic table and benches for your private use. Hanging lights illuminate this area so it is a great spot for evening dining or relaxing. This beautiful, tropical beach hideaway is also less than a mile from Kahaluu Beach Park which has the best snorkeling on the Island. This property is your ticket to paradise! Modern, tasteful, and well appointed, you'll feel surrounded by comfort, luxury, and tropical flowers in a neighborhood of fine homes with mature landscaping. One room is the master bedroom with a queen bed, teak desk, flat screen TV, cable, A/C, complete kitchenette, and huge walk-in closet. The living room is bright and airy with multiple windows and two sets of sliding doors to the lanai. This room has well appointed modern teak furniture including a Thai twin sized bed, (great as a sofa during the day) a dining table and chairs, as well as two other comfortable cushioned teak seats. A second flat screen “SMART” TV is provided here giving you access to the Internet and your Netflix account, etc. WiFi along with Bluetooth music system is included. You’ll have access to your own gas barbeque grill with side burner; there is also a full-sized fridge and washer and dryer. There is one bathroom which can be accessed from either room; it was upgraded in June 2018 and includes an amazing oversized tiled shower. There's also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a beach day! Continental breakfast of island fruits, juices, nuts, and breads for toasting is provided each morning. This property will surround you with a very private, island feeling with palm trees and tropical plants and flowers abounding on the grounds as well as throughout the neighborhood.
This is a great place for a romantic getaway, singles, two friends or relatives, or for families. Sleeps up to 3 adults or 1-2 adults and 1-2 children.
We are Ironman and Athlete-friendly-and can provide secure garage storage space for bikes/sporting equipment, etc. (We also have bike tools and bike trainers, etc, if you need them). Concierge services can be provided by arrangement (e.g., Airport Pickup for you and your bikes, orientation and transport to your race course, grocery shopping, errands that you can’t do while you are out training,) Just ask if you are interested in any assistance to make your trip easier. We promise a fair price and great service (we are athletes and travelers ourselves!)
Call or email (I'm almost always available via email) for more info (Hawaii Time is currently 6 hrs behind Eastern Standard Time - EST). The calendar is up to date, so just check for availability for the dates you are requesting. Occasionally we block out a few days so that we can do property upkeep/painting, etc. so if the dates you want don't seem to be available, just ask -- we may be able to switch things around and opeln up the dates you need.
The property is on a residential street parallel to Ali'i Drive (one street behind) right by White Sands (also known as Magic Sands) Beach--Kona’s Boogie Boarding Beach with bathrooms, showers, volleyball court, and lifeguards. There is a path from our street down to the beach, so you can be there in two minutes! It is one mile from Kahaluu Beach Park and four miles from the 'original' town of Kailua-Kona. Two miles south, you'll find the Keahou community with shopping, restaurants, movie theater, golfing, and a small boat harbor. There are 2 beach chairs, 2 Boogie Boards and a cooler available for your use during your stay.
Also..we have 2 Paddle boards with personal instruction available for a very reasonable fee, as well as high-end carbon-frame bicycles--if you prefer to rent instead of shipping your own.
