About Jayne & John Ward
We are a small letting agency, based in Kent, which has been established for the past twenty five years, providing accommodation to students attending the local university. We purchased Villa Kalandia fourteen years ago as a family holiday retreat; but is also available for long and short term lets throughout the year. Our aim is to provide, with the support of our English management team in Paphos, a first class holiday experience.
Jayne & John Ward purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Jayne & John Ward chose Emba
We enjoy the village setting of Villa Kalandia which is ideal for country walks and quiet evenings by the private pool, and yet it is within easy access to tourist hot spots, attractions and cultural experiences of the Island; making it a holiday home to suit all needs.
What makes this Villa unique
Villa Kalandia has the benefit of a quiet village setting with a private garden and pool. We have an English management team who are contactable from the point of your arrival in Cyprus. They are on hand to support you with any queries you may have throughout your stay. We use a very helpful local Taxi firm and Car Hire company who are familiar with the area and know Villa Kalandia very well.

Beautiful villa well maintained and comfortable
The villa is a wonderful place to stay with all the amenities. It is well maintained and spacious with a fantastic pool
This Villa is amazing! It had everything we could possibly need for a family holiday. We stayed for 4 weeks and had an amazing time. The property was very clean and well maintained. The owners and the management company couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely we recommending to friends and family. We loved the tour and boat trip organised by Chris taxis it was great value and he is so nice! Also went on Wavedancer evening dinner cruise from Paphos harbour fab night not to be missed. Thank you John & Jayne for a wonderful holiday.
Lovely villa with all ameneties, lovely setting away from the crowds. Recommended!
What a lovely villa in Emba! We enjoyed our stay and the owners were lovely. They provided us with a starter groceries pack, beach towels and didn't charge for our late check-out on the last day. They resolved an issue with the bed without delay and as the villa has a great wifi signal, they were easily contacted if we needed anything.
The pool area is a delight, not overlooked and gets the sun most of the day, with adequate shade. The villa is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and 2 full bathrooms, and a downstairs cloak, so is suitable for the amount of persons likely to be staying, as well as hairdryers on each dressing table and USB ports in many of the sockets for easy charging without using a plug socket!. There is air con in every area too! The teenagers also enjoyed watching some of the vast array of films available via the box under the TV. We didn't discover it until the last day, but the front bedroom balcony provides a good place to view the sunset over the sea! One thing to be aware of is that there are no shops nearby (- well, we found that it was a bit far to walk in the heat) so I would say a car is needed, but this may change in a couple of years when Paphos is expanded further and didn't bother us. I am sure that a return taxi into the town for an evening wouldn't be too expensive if you wanted a drink. All-in-all we couldn't fault this place or the owners and would love to stay again if possible. We would highly recommend!
Excellent Villa Excellent holiday
My husband and two teenage sons have just returned from a 16 night stay in August at Villa Kalandia. What a super place to stay. Very easy to find from the airport - I think it's the first time after many holidays when we haven't managed to get lost !
The villa was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped. It had everything we needed ...and more. The best welcome pack we've ever had. All the information we needed about the villa, excursions, bars and restaurants.
The owners John and Jayne were fabulous throughout. Incredibly helpful, always responded quickly with the right information. I'd had to postpone for 12 months due to ill health and John and Jayne were so understanding and kind.
We'd never been to Paphos before but would definitely return. We had great meals in all the restaurants we ate in. Massive choice from cheap and cheerful to fine dining The choice was endless. Good value for money Coral Bay is worth a visit and although much smaller than Pahos town there's still a good choice of places to eat in and bars to drink in
Lots to do in and around Paphos - water sports, beach buggy and quad bike hire, golf and " foot golf" ( which my lads did many times it all got very competitive !!) in addition to fabulous sightseeing
Thank you John and Jayne for such a great experience
Sad to leave and will return
My husband & l have just returned from staying at the villa. As our first visit to Cyprus it was a perfect place to be. Away from the tourist spots but close enough to walk and get to know Cyprus. Everything you needed was catered for, pool cleaned regularly, tv, cd player, wi fi and very comfortable furniture. Chris the taxi driver was more than helpful and the day out on the boat, swimming in the med and wonderful food and wine was one of our favourite times. The villa is a must for a relaxing or adventure holiday, highly recommend.
We are so pleased that you had a fantastic time at the villa. We aim to make everyone's holiday a 5* experience with the support of our management team and Chris, our taxi company. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Thank you writing a review.

Villa kalandia cyprus
We have never been to Cyprus before but we would definitely go back. The villa was perfect and had necessary requirements you could need. With its own pool, it was perfect.
The owners John and Jayne were extremely helpful from beginning to end. They responded very quickly with all emails and we arrived to a welcome package that was very much needed due to our late arrival.
A car is required however everything is very local and just a short drive away.
We had a fantastic stay and would love to go back soon, we miss it already. Thank you John and Jayne for an extremely memorable holiday in your beautiful villa.

Golf: On offer in Cyprus are several challenging, world class golf courses, warm hospitality and practically all year round sunshine. Golf was popularised in Cyprus in the late 1990s, so it is a relatively new sport to the country. The Cyprus Golf Federation was established in 2000, its main objective to promote and manage amateur golf on the island. The golf courses on Cyprus are clustered around the popular tourist areas of Paphos and Larnaca, in beautiful valley and hillside locations. The Tsada Golf Club can lay claim to being the first grass golf course built in Cyprus. Completed in 1994, it is located 20 minutes from Paphos and is elevated 550m above sea level, ensuring a calming cool breeze during the warm summer months. The Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is located near Paphos in Cyprus, overlooking the Mediterranean, taking its name from the birthplace of Aphrodite, which it overlooks. Aphrodite Hills has been described as an award winning 18 hole championship golf course and academy. The Secret Valley Golf Club is probably the most prestigious golf course in Cyprus, located in the famous area of Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite, 18 km east of Paphos and 49 km west of Limassol. Ski: The Cyprus Ski Club was created on March 2, 1947 and since then it has a leading role in the development of skiing on the island. The first lift was built and operated on the eastern face of Mt Olympus using primitive equipment, while a second lift was built in 1951 near the 'Dolphin' restaurant, to the west of Troodos Square (the remnants of this lift, which was powered by the engine of a Ford truck, can still be seen). After the independence of Cyprus in 1960, the Ski Club developed into its modern form, with a ski Federation under the auspices of the FIS, and four regional clubs (Nicosia, Limassol, Troodos, and Famagusta) competing in various skiing competitions. Until 1968, mobile lifts operated by the British Army were used, but in 1968 the first lift owned by the CSC was built at Sun Valley 1. The big lift at North Face was the second to be built, followed by Hermes (Sun Valley 2) in 1973, and Hera (North Face 2) in 1986. www.skicyprus.com/webcam/
