Awesome little spot in Beaverton
This is a small house/room with a private feel to it. Close to everything, and there is even a Saturday outdoor market just a block away.
Private Bathroom was not so private
Checking in we were given the wrong house address, and the wrong door code. We walked in on a family who had rented that property . Our rental was around the back, hard to find, and I was on the phone with the property manager, who gave me a different door code.
When we finally got in and went out to use the washer and dryer, there were clothes in both, we dried the wet ones and put them in a basket.
When we got home the second night, someone had been in our bathroom, as there were clothes in the dryer. This was not appreciated, as our suitcases and personal items were in that room. The fridge smelled so bad, that we had to open both doors to air the "tiny' room out.
On the morning of checkout, my husband was across the way in the shower, and I heard voices, a knock on the door. turned out to be the owner and a plumber. They wanted to turn off the water to replace a faucet in another unit. I told them he was showering, and that I was next. When he got out, she asked him if I could go shower in another unit. At this point, he said he thought checkout was at 11. So, they waited for me to shower...we packed our things and left at 8:45 a.m.
I would not reccomend this to anyone.
I am sorry your stay wasn't everything we both wanted to be. I hope I can clarify a couple things here for you and future guests. I know when we spoke on the phone after arrival you were surprised there was a bathroom that was external to the room which is made quite clear in the description. I know in the preflight email we try and make it very clear as to what street to enter on. From the correct street the tiny house is right in front of you. If you enter from the wrong one it can be confusing.
The other guests in the other building had a door wasn't locked at the time. You could have entered any or no door code and walked in. I am certainly sorry about the confusion about the bathroom while you were gone. The cleaner on site used it for a load of laundry. We made sure this won't happen again. I inspected the refrigerator (there was nothing obvious inside) and put in some baking soda. It seems good, but we'll keep an eye on it.
This really is a wonderful and convenient tiny house to most everything in Downtown Beaverton and the region beyond. It isn't for everyone though. It is quite important that you read the details about the place to make sure it is a good fit.
