About Jody Hayden

I'm Jody. My husband, DC, and I are excited to share our condo with you because we love the Grand Traverse area and there's nothing better than sharing it with new people. We're happy to offer suggestions for hiking, biking, dining and shopping. Our local food scene continues to grow and it's worth a trip to Traverse City to just visit some of the great local food artisans - Leelanau Cheese, Tandem Cider, Nine Bean Rows, Stella Trattoria, Harvest, and the many wineries, breweries, distilleries and area farmer's markets.

We have two little boys, Arlo and Charlie, and we own Grocer's Daughter Chocolate in the charming town of Empire. We travel frequently to visit cacao producers in South America and we love travel of all kinds. DC is also a freelance videographer and works with many local non-profits and commercial enterprises.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and I stayed at this location for a mid week trip while our boys were at camp. Jody was very accomidating as this was a last minute trip. The location was spectacular. We were able to walk to town and experience all the local breweries and shops. We biked to Suttons Bay and all over Traverse City thanks to the TART trail system being near the condo. We even finished the trip with a charter fishing trip that was within blocks of the condo.

Fall Weekend in Traverse City

  • 5 of 5

This condo was the perfect place to stay for a long October weekend in Traverse City. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived which was a sweet gesture from the hosts. Additionally, the location of the condo could not be beat. My husband and I walked to restaurants, bars, brunch and shopping every day. The longest walk was 12 minutes to get to Cooks' House for dinner. We only took our car out once to explore Leelanau peninsula. Would definitely recommend staying here to explore everything "Up North" has to offer!

Property and TC were great. We loved the area and would come back again. Condo was convenient to town, nice little kitchen that we didn't have to eat out every meal, washer/dryer if you needed to wash clothes. Enjoyed the bottle of wine owners left and chocolate from their store!

great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This condo is very clean and the owners are very accessible at all times. the location was perfect for us with a number of good restaurants within walking distance. the condo was furnished nicely and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there. The only negative we had was a construction crew starting to work at 7 every morning a few feet from the condo. I'm sure they will complete the project in the near future so that should not be a problem for anyone else. We would stay there again.

This is a great place to stay in Traverse City! It was an easy half mile walk to the main part of downtown and the water. There were lots of nearby restaurants and fun shops. The owners were helpful and accomodating and always responded quickly. Everything was very clean.
