Two 2 bedroom apartments (see APT1 and APT3) and one 3 bedroom apartment (see APT2) available for rent in a small block of 4 apartments. All near: Beautiful beaches, an abundance of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, market stalls and the lively night life entertainment around the old town square and Fisherman's Beach make old town Albufeira an all-year destination... and, all this is a 3-5 minute walk from our front door! Two beaches, the popular Fisherman's Beach and the famous Peneco town beach seen in every photograph of Albufeira, are at the end of our street where from a viewing platform you are presented with breathtaking views and photo opportunities.

These spacious, apartments built in 2002 are on (above) the beach in a picturesque, car-free, residential side street lined with quaint fisherman's cottages - many still lived in by local people. This historic area of old town Albufeira runs along the cliff tops overlooking the beaches. A 3-5 minute walk down a gentle slope, steps or lift will take you right on to the beach or lead you in to the heart of the old town where at night the streets come to life with outdoor entertainers and where a variety of free live music is on offer from many eating and drinking establishments. And, when you have had enough you can walk home in minutes to rest and sleep in a peaceful area and quiet apartment. Enjoy Albufeira and Walk Everywhere from these Apartments!

Old Albufeira is a collection of characterful, streets that run off the old coast road and are very close to the beaches. If you want to be 'in' the old town then check the map.

APARTMENT INFORMATION:

APT1, APT2 and APT3 were built in 2002 and offer modern living facilities - spacious rooms, comfortable temperature in summer and winter, reliable utility services, entry phone and private parking in a secure underground garage. The front door to the building serves four apartments so the common area is private and pleasantly quiet. Well equipped with home comforts and located in a safe neighbourhood inhabited by local Portuguese these apartments are ideal for year round rental.

WIFI is offered in APT1, APT2 and APT3. WiFi is freely available in most hotels, bars and restaurants. The Hotel Sol e Mar and Tres Coroas Restaurant (Three Crowns) are at the end of our street and they offer free Wi-Fi and sea views. We enjoy sipping cocktails in the large retro lounge of the Hotel Sol e Mar or sitting on their balcony overlooking the sea while we catch up with friends and family via the internet.

Two recommended local POOLs (one 12-15 min pleasant walk or 3-4 min drive from Apts) with good facilities e.g. snack bar, toilets, loungers, sea view etc. Ask for details.

I visited and fell in love with Albufeira in 1979 when it was a typical fishing village and have been back almost every year. My 4 adult children (2 boys and 2 girls) spent many happy holidays in the Algarve. They are now 29, 25, 23 and 19. The apartment was built in 2002 and since then this area of Old Town Albufeira has had new gas and water mains installed. This means the bathrooms are served with high pressure water for a good shower and a fast bath fill and the water is heated by mains gas rather than from a cannister so the water heats on demand. Both bathrooms are spacious, fully tiled and come with a vanity unit, shaving point and large mirror. The shower room has a new toughened glass shower enclosure and also has an extending shaving mirror and a hair dryer. Bath towels and hand towels are provided for each occupant and are refreshed mid stay. Beach towels are NOT provided.

This bedroom has a UK king size bed, large mirrored wardrobe with hangers and drawers, bed side tables, hair dryer, extension socket and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower attachment, vanity unit, shaving point and large mirror. Bedroom 2 faces a quiet residential, cobbled, car free street. This bedroom has two large twin beds and a large fitted wardrobe with hangers & drawers. An iron & board and a built-in safe are stored here. There is a separate shower room with shower cubicle, WC, vanity unit, shaving point & shaving mirror, hair dryer for use by this bedroom's occupants. There is a large sofa bed that will comfortably sleep 1 adult and a Graco travel cot / playpen for babies. All bed linens and towels are provided and changed every 7 days.

The apartment is 1 of 4 in a small block within an old municipal building (reconstructed in 2002). It has been built to a high specification and designed to meet 21st century living - large, separate rooms off a connecting hall and fully fitted and equipped kitchen and bathrooms, mains water and gas supply, safe for storing small valuables, secure entryphone system and integral underground parking. The building is one of a collection of old listed buildings, Moorish gates, museums and interesting churches found in the old town's Heritage Zone. The apartment faces onto a cobbled residential street and the back looks out onto a terracotta tiled courtyard. Nearby is the Tres Coroas restaurant and the landmark Sol e Mar Hotel with its beachfront al fresco restaurant and cafe.

Beautiful apartment

Beautiful place

First time my husband and i have been to portugal we went with my husbands brother and his wife to celebrate my husbands 60 birthday and had an absolutely lovely week.

This is the first time we didnt use a hotel for our stay on holiday and we actually loved staying in traceys apartment it was wonderfull to be able to have breakfast when we wanted go out and in at our leisure with no set times for meals.

The apartment was modern with wifi, all the amenities you could need.

We had our own bathrooms which was a bonus, the bedrooms had lovely wardrobes with plenty of clothes space to hang everthing up, the cleaner comes half way through the week and leaves all fresh towels for each bathroom.

You have the use of a safe in the apartment to lock away your passports and valuabes .

I think from now on my husband and I will be doing this instead of hotels also we will be going to Portugal for our summer holidays most definately.

We have no complaints at all about apartment met everyone of our needs.

There was a lot of steps and hills in the old Town kept us fit .

What a find, lovely 2 bedroom property close enough to enjoy Albufeira to the full.

The property has all the facilities you would require, fully equipped kitchen, nice dining and lounge area with 2 excellent bedrooms one being ensuite.

With 2 balconies, fortunately in the shade, it was nice to pop back lunch time and sit outside with a drink and some respite from the heat. We were there at the beginning of October and it was still very hot every day.

It is a short walk from the shops, beach and restaurants, with a very good restaurant just a short walk from the property if you don't want to wander too far on your first night. (The 3 Crowns).

Would recommend the dotto train, for 4euros you can travel around the local area all day, visit the Strip and realise how fortunate you are to be staying in the old town.

If you want a break from the winter gloom would recommend you take a look.

Great 2 bed apartment. Perfect location near beach, shops, nightlife, etc. The Apartment was just as detailed in the ad and we were very happy with it.

We had nothing but great communication to and from the owner with details about our apartment, who to meet when we got there, etc. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice apartment in a great location that is historic to the charm of Portugal. Yes, you could get a hotel room at a nice hotel nearby, but there is something to be said for living and really experiencing the Portuguese lifestyle of the Algarve by having your own place to call home for a week or so. The security deposit was also returned promptly and without any issues.

Great apartment in a great location

Our stay was great from start to finish. Booking the apartment was really easy and Tracy was really helpful arranging transfers etc and providing information. The taxi driver who collected did both transfers was really lovely and helpful and drove well.

The apartment was in a perfect location literally only minutes from the Old Town and the beach. Although the apartment doesn't have any direct views of the beach/sea as soon as you leave the apartment and turn right down the little cobbled street the sea is visible.

For us the apartment was faultless, it had everything that we needed, we cooked breakfast every day to save the cost of eating out and it was a very well kitted out kitchen. It was clean and tidy and modern enough to live in comfortably. The cleaners came in half way during the week and gave us fresh towels and were very friendly and helpful. The showers were very powerful although it was better not to use both showers at the same time.

There were folders in the apartment giving information about places to eat which we found to be accurate having ate in a few of the restaurants mentioned.

The apartment is located far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town but close enough that you are there within a few minutes walk. On a couple of occasions it was possible to hear music very late but it was very faint in the distance and did not disturb us at all.

It is worth noting that the apartment is up a hill which can be reached from different directions. The hill is very short and the views are so spectacular on the sea front that you don't really notice the hill at all.

We had a late flight booked and were offered a late check out. Although our apartment wasn't available as new guests were arriving, Tracy arranged it so that we could transfer to Apt 2 across the corridor on the last morning. The cleaner arrived promptly with the keys for us and helped with moving our stuff across. It was minimal fuss for a small extra cost for the benefit of having the use of the apartment up to 7pm when the text driver arrived. It was ideal as my elderly parents had somewhere to rest and be comfortable throughout the day when they needed it. This apartment was of the same high standard. We would definitely recommend these to anyone and will use them again if we return to Albufeira.
