A great little getaway
When we arrived at the cabin we were so surprised how secluded the house was to the rest of the cabins. We so enjoyed our private time at the house. We could sit on the deck and relax with meals and drinks and we felt like we were all alone. Then it was a short walk down the driveway to the water. We had a nice dock with kayaks to use which our grandchildren truly enjoyed. We sat on the Adirondack chairs and watched them with a fire going in the pit and enjoyed the water front. Having the the little trailer there was great to have a place to change clothes and store our picnic lunch til it was time to eat. We so enjoyed our stay, the cabin was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Thankyou for sharing your little piece of serenity.
This cabin is a beautiful place to stay. Remodled beautifully, so much space & charm.
Peaceful & private. We loved every second of our stay. Stephanie was available & very accommodating. The cabin was very roomy, but so quant & cozy. Everything we needed was on site. We planned to see & do so much, but once we settled in, we decided to just relax. We grilled, played games, enjoyed the 2 living spaces to watch T.V. or just talk & catch up. We enjoyed relaxing on both decks on the 2 levels, as well as time at the dock. There were kayaks & such available to use. The water was so clear. There were even fishing poles available to use. The owners thought of everything to make a memorable & comfortable stay for their guests. Great memories for us. Lots of room we didn't use being there was just 2 of us. But this would be an amazing place for bigger family to make great memories. Bugs bad at night, so don't forget your bug spray. No curtains on windows was a little creepy at first, but by second night it wasn't a problem
So secluded & dark it didn't matter, but let in great light during the day! Highly recommend this cabin. Great space, awesome owners!!
The perfect place for a relaxing getaway!
The house was beautiful and so clean! A perfect location for shopping in nearby Farmington. We didn’t get to enjoy the pond as it was November but the views were incredible. Would love to come back!
We enjoyed an unforgettable experience at this property and hope to go back soon. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway away from it all with all the comforts of home then this is the place for you. Enjoyed the weekend with our 18-month-old daughter, nine-year-old nephew, and our dog Bruno. Thank you for sharing your home with us Stephanie! :)
Beautiful house/location with plenty to do whether you like activity or relaxation
We had a highly enjoyable stay here during October 2017. The house is in a quiet and peaceful location, set back from the road. It's lovely and comfortable with just the right amount of rustic charm, not to mention roomy. I loved the second floor balcony and grounds especially. The water access and view is breathtaking and we even heard some loons (much to my husband's delight). The owner we communicated with was responsive, friendly and helpful.
During our visit we enjoyed the local areas and can recommend a massage at Azulene in Farmington (which was well worth the trip alone) as well as dinner at Calzolaio in Wilton (pricey but well worth it for a treat - you'll need to make reservations as it's popular for good reason). We also took a trip to nearby Rangeley which has a beautiful lake and pedestrian friendly, pretty main street with shops and pubs etc.
We look forward to returning, possibly in the summer to fully appreciate the beautiful lake and private dock.
The house is very beautiful! Nice and cozy. We got unforgettable weekends there. The lake is a minute walk from the house. There is a private space with camper, fireplace, kayaks and canoes. We had a lot of fun there! I really recommend it! Thank you Stephanie!
The area has many small unique towns to enjoy. Farmington being the biggest with a quant downtown shopping experience. Farmington and Wilton have restraunts and pizza for all to enjoy. The Narrow Guage Cinema is located in Farmington and has very reasonable prices showing all upcoming films.
There are walking and hiking paths and trails as well for all of your outdoor adventures.
