About Tiffany & Chris Dumas

Thank you so very much for viewing the Sea Blessings house in Five Islands. Step into Maine’s Majestic Rocky Mid Coast and discover Five Islands, a beautiful old fishing village that my wife’s family has called home for many generations. We are locals to the area and purchaced the Sea Blessings house in 2014. This house has been a blessing to our little family since day one. With the help of our entire family, we have worked all winter to renovate this beautiful costal home for all to enjoy. My wife and I have two little Girls Ellyse age 5 and Sadie age 3. Through this experience they have been by our side in their painting clothes, raking and dusting. The house has been filled with songs, giggles and hide and seek games. They are excited that Mommy and Daddy bought them a house and that the proceeds are for their college education.

Our single family home is nestled into the heart of this old village and located only a minute’s walk to the best tasting stemmed lobster and fried calms in Maine which can been enjoyed while gazing out at the active fishing harbor. The view and experience you will have at the dock is magical just ask our 5 or 3 year old daughters love to walk our two Yorkies down at night after dinner to see the boats and be part of the scene, or it could be the delicious made in Maine ice cream which is the prefect after dinner treat. Five Islands is a dream for a vacation destination and a lovely place to live and grow up. We are so happy that you are considering our home and are happy to help you along your journey. What makes this cottage unique

This property is a charming coastal home. Built in 1926 it has many lovely characteristics of an old home but its spacious walk through concept and room design gives the house a comfortable and friendly feel. My wife and I love the exposed beams that are throughout the down stairs of this house. The Brick arch in the kitchen and brick hearth with built in cabinets in the living room is lovely.

From the kitchen stove you can see well into the dining and living rooms right through the

Nice place to stay. Very safe, quiet and friendly community.

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time with family and friends. Learned about tides, fishing for lobster, enjoyed shopping the Georgetown pottery right near us. Cadillac Mountain was everyone’s favorite. Beaches are nice and very interesting being able to walk to other islands when tide is low. There is a higher cost for out of Maine residents at the state parks. Family who owns the house very friendly and helpful.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We were in town for a family wedding at Grey Havens Inn. The location was perfect for easy access to the wedding festivities and also the Five Islands village. There were five of us (all adults) staying at the house and I would say that 6 would really be the max with the two bathrooms. Also, important to note that one of the bedrooms can only be accessed through the other bedroom so it was important that everyone was comfortable with that. We were all one family so it was fine but I could see that might not work for all groups. Otherwise, we had everything that we needed. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with and we had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful place!

Nice house and a good location. Only downside is no gas grill for outdoor cooking. Charcoal grill, but not in good shape.

The Sea Blessings Cottage is nestled in the heart of Five Islands, (Georgetown) Maine. Closer to home Sea Blessings is just three miles from the magnificent Reid State Park. Spread amongst over five hundred acres you'll find peaceful wooded walks, beaver dams, plentiful deer, and, of course mile and half mile are Maine's rare and wonderful sandy beaches. Never too busy, but Reid Park is surely the prettiest beach in Maine! Bring a picnic for the day or some grilling items. Its a wonderful place to plunk down and enjoy!

In the evening, walk down the hill to the famous Five Islands Lobster Co. Often featured on the Travel Channel, you'll watch the lobster boats come and go and the seagulls wheel in the sky as you feast on fried clams, traditional Maine steamed corn and hearty, fresh-from-the-ocean lobster. Afterward, enjoy the cool salty evening air at private Ledgemere beach .2 of a mile a secret beach in Five Islands...known only to the locals, but just 5 minute stroll from your front door!

Another really interesting place to visit here in Georgetown is the Historical Society. They have an amazing display of local historical photos and information along with a library. They also offer historical presentations, live music and celebration of the arts from time to time. Be sure to check out their schedule for weekly happenings.
