Cardisco, casually furnished in comfortable Tuscan style, is located on the first floor of the villa complex. The apartment includes two double bedrooms with a wonderful view to the vineyards and olive trees, with beds in wrought iron, a bathroom with shower, kitchen and living room. It is perfect for 2 couples of a family with 2 children.
Il Casale di Villore is an ochre stone farmhouse, medieval in origin, situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside and enjoys a hilltop position from which the pastoral beauty of the countryside is in full view. After painstaking renovations, Villore’s six apartments are now available for holiday rental, each named after a different type of grape in honor of the region’s wine culture. We invite you to pass your holiday immersed in the rhythm and beauty of the Tuscan landscape. All of the apartments are furnished with antiques and have been decorated by the owner himself who has charmingly combined traditional Tuscan elements with the spaciousness, light and airiness that hallmark modern design.
Hiking, walking and bicycle trails radiate from Il Casale di Villore. Florence and Siena, renown for their art and architecture, are within easy driving distance as is the medieval city of San Gimignano. Traditional Tuscan dishes are on offer in area restaurants and local wineries open their doors to you for tours and tastings.
Our guests are our number one priority and a member of the Villore staff is always on hand to address any problems or simply offer suggestions on how to best take advantage of the beauty of the region. In addition, we are also pleased to organize guided excursions, chef services or cooking class, additional housekeeping and even appointments with our on-call masseuse, guided tours, wine tasting and museums tickets
I have walked this land for many years and each time I still see something new. The time of day or year does not matter. I love music, paint ...that's why I love Tuscany. Here, in this land, rich with history and tradition, my guest will have my suggestions to enjoy a great vacation in Tuscany.
Antonio Pagliai purchased this apartment in 2007
We have just returned from spending 3 weeks at Casale di Villore, we loved it so much that we have already booked for a week in October and for 3 weeks again next summer! We discovered it while on our previous visit to Castellina in Chianti, as it was recommended by a favourite vineyard of ours, Casa Emma. We booked directly with Antonio who owns the property and the process was extremely efficient. We stayed in the largest apartment, although caters for a large number, we found it excellent for 2 adults and two children as their was plenty of space. The location, between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti is ideal, giving access to a number of major attractions throughout Tuscany. The villa is surrounded by the most beautiful views and sits in stunning gardens surrounded by olive trees and vines, a truly perfect setting.
Antonio and his family were fantastic, Antonio was always on hand to suggest places to visit, restaurants to eat at (which were always fantastic) and to answer any questions we had. I couldn't rate the service high enough.
We have booked a return visit in October to experience the area and accommodation in a different season and have booked again for another 3 weeks next summer. I highly recommended it!

I stayed here with my girlfriend and our two close fiends in the Cardisco unit. It is a very cozy and intimate 2 bedroom with a small kitchenette. It was the perfect size and cost for us. The views of the country side from the upstairs unit are amazing; as were the views from the infinity pool. We visited in May and the pool was not heated. However, during the middle of the day it was sometimes warm enough to swim and take in the countryside view. Antonio and his staff were very accommodating and always willing to share their knowledge of the area. In fact, two of the restaurants Antonio recommended turned out to be the best meals we had during our nine day visit.
Keep in mind that there are no nearby stores (grocery or otherwise), so you will need a car to make the mile long trip to Poggibonsi. About Poggibonsi: this little town (40,000+ population?) was not crowded with tourists at all. We loved spending time in Poggibonsi, browsing the market, eating food, and just people watching in one of the many squares throughout town. I believe there were not many tourists because the town was heavily bombed during WWII resulting in very little old architecture remaining. This is made up for by giving you a very "local" feel.
Travel tip: bring toilet paper and soap with you when you arrive. When we arrived at Cardisco these were not stocked. Antonio made sure to provide these upon request, though, but you may not think to check or ask about these supplies when you arrive. We found this to be the case everywhere we traveled in Europe, so it is not affecting my review negatively. Just be prepared.
This Villa is everything I dreamed about for a Tuscan holiday. Everywhere you look is breathtakingly gorgeous! The apartment was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the vistas from each window were awe inspiring!
Antonio was the perfect host; helpful, knowledgeable and very kind. When we return I will definitely stay here again. The most magical holiday I have ever had! I do miss the sound of the Roosters in the morning and the incredible countryside!
Tastefully furnished appartment and fantastic garden with great view over the vineyards! Centrally located in the heart of the Toscana. Definitely recommended!
This completely and wonderfully renovated property is set in the stunning Tuscany region. Very well kept and comfortable place to stay. Close to town (2 miles) so buying groceries is easy, but far enough away from everyone else that you get that "get away" feel. The owner is very personable and was a pleasure to deal with. Only 30 minutes from Florence and easy drive to beautiful wineries. So much more comfortable than a cramped and overpriced hotel in Florence.
Il Casale di Villore has amazing views and Antonio is the best host anyone could ask for. He has great knowledge of the area and keeps the place looking beautiful at all times. We stayed in the Cardisco for a week which is a perfect place for a family of 4 or 2 couples. The location is great for day trips around Tuscany and even to Pisa or Cinque Terre. Antonio also has his own Chianti Classico and Olive oil which are both wonderful. Next time I come back to Tuscany I have no doubt where I will be staying. Grazie Antionio!
Villore was amazing. The grounds are beautiful, the pool perfect, the interiors charming, there are olive and fig and plum trees and lavender bushes everywhere, and the sunsets are an evening activity to look forward to. The views are so lovely, you don't know where to look. Wildlife is everywhere too (boar, deer, a horse next door, tiny darting lizards, bright green beetles). Antonio and his family were friendly and helpful. The central Chianti location is great for day trips to neighboring towns (and even the Tuscan coast), and I would absolutely recommend Villore to anyone, especially with children who like being outside in a beautiful place.
Located near the Via Chiantigiana between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti, one of the most historically significant roads in the region, Villore enjoys a hilltop position from which the pastoral beauty of the Tuscan countryside is in full view.
In the middle of tuscany : Florence (North : 33 km) it was the place where the Renaissance grew; Siena (South 28 Km.) famous for the horse race named 'PALIO'; Chianti Area (East) of course, Tuscany’s food and wine culture are of incredible importance and excursions to local wineries and smal villages; Sangimignano (West : 15 Km.) called the 'Manhattan of Tuscany' cause of its medieval towers.
