About Mrs Melissa Hope
My name is Melissa Hope. The Hope family has farmed on Powgavie for over 100 years. The two Powgavie Cottages, Eppie and Flisk, formerly farm workers' homes, were extended and refurbished in 2008. Since completing the cottages we have enjoyed welcoming guests from around the world, and sharing our beautiful part of Scotland.

We had a wonderful time staying in this most comfortable and well equipped cottage . We will definitely be booking again .
Families: there is a range of activities including the Beatrix Potter museum in Dunkeld, Active Kids in Stanley, the Scottish Deer Centre in Fife, Willowgate activity centre, Perth, Science Centre in Dundee, and swimming in both Perth and Dundee.
Beaches: there are some beautiful beaches within easy reach - St Andrews, Tentsmuir and Broughty Ferry or Carnoustie.
Walking - there are walks to suit all abilities ranging from coastal and attractive woodland walks to drovers paths and Munros.
Theatre and arts: you can try Dundee Rep Theatre, the newly renovated (2018) Perth Theatre and the Horsecross Concert Hall in Perth. For the arts there is the V&A (open September 2018), the DCA, the McManus Galleries, all in Dundee and the Fergusson Art Gallery in Perth and the Perth Museum.
Golf: The cottage is in an excellent location for accessing top Scottish golf courses. There is a golf driving range about 5 minutes away. Courses within an hour away include: Blairgowrie Golf Club, Carnoustie, St Andrews, Gleneagles and more.
Historic interests: the Discovery, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, St Andrews, the City of Perth, Loch Leven are all close. Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow are all good for a day trip.
Antiques: this area is well known for antique centres, the closest being the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre at Abernyte.
Gardens: there are several reknowned gardens in the area including Branklyn Gardens, Glendoick, Dundee University Botanic Gardens. Camperdown Country Park is less than 10 miles away.
Ski: Skiing at Glenshee is just over an hour away. Snow and weather dependant. It can be great. We can advise on equipment hire and lessons if required.
