My name is Melissa Hope. The Hope family has farmed on Powgavie for over 100 years. The two Powgavie Cottages, Eppie and Flisk, formerly farm workers' homes, were extended and refurbished in 2008. Since completing the cottages we have enjoyed welcoming guests from around the world and sharing our beautiful part of Scotland.
Mrs Melissa Hope purchased this cottage in 2008

We hired both cottages for a long weekend to attend a family wedding. We were all very happy with the accommodation, it is clean and well equipt. We would certainly go back.
Clean, most comfortable and charming - we had a lovely peaceful holiday stay in this cottage. It was just as described in the advert.....only better!
Everything we could possibly have needed was supplied - and it is located so conveniently too. Within minutes you are on the main A90 between Perth and Dundee, and so this was an ideal base for anyone wanting to visit Scotland's towns, cities and the eastern coast.
As you sit at the meal table you have an amazing panoramic view and could hear a pin drop.....it is so quiet! There were only two of us, but the cottage is spacious and would be most ideal for a family. The owners were very welcoming and helpful.
We do hope to visit this area again soon, and if so, would most definitely make this cottage our first choice!
My husband son daughter in law and grandson stayed in the Eppie Pawgavie cottage
Immediately as we walked in I knew it was perfect. The cottage is of very high standard both in furnitions and cleanliness. It has all the facilities you would want. Set in a very peaceful location lovely garden which my grandson made the most of. Melissa & her 2 kids popped in to make sure we were ok and we were that. I'd recommend this cottage great spot for sightseeing or just to get away from it all. Hopefully we mayb back some day with our 2 dogs who would love it. Oh and thanks for the bottle of delicious cider

Eppie was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. Very well designed property with plenty of storage including a small shed in which we were able to store the bikes. We found the crockery very heavy to handle and the 84 year old could hardly lift the teapot when full. Would have liked a tea cosy and a pair of kitchen scissors, otherwise very well equipped. The area is excellent for cycling with mainly flat cycling friendly roads. Melissa and family were helpful, friendly and even supplied delicious local strawberries upon our arrival. The property was very clean and welcoming.Would definitely recommend. We had one meal at The Inchture hotel which was the nearest and it was a good choice. Staff were friendly, welcoming and accomadating. The food was excellent and despite being busy the service was top class.
The property was beautiful. The location was stunning. They have everything there you could possibly need and all to a very high standard. We had a wonderful time. Watching the deer walk past the window was breathtaking. Have used other holiday accommodation before and this is definitely one of the best. Would certainly highly recommend to all. Thanks for a great time.
We stayed for a few nights in July 2015. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was very well equipped and decorated. The beds were really comfortable with lovely bed linen. Nice big comfy sofas in the living room too. We could only stay a few days but we will definitely stay again when we're in the area. Amazing views across the fields to the Tay river.

Historic interests - the Discovery, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, St Andrews, the City of Perth, Loch Leven are all close. Antiques - this area is well known for antique centres, the closest being the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre at Abernyte.
