Talmont Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Office, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Our cozy, classic,' A'-frame cabin has been remodeled and comfortably accommodates up to four adults. It is located two miles south of Tahoe City on the historic West Shore. Walk three short blocks to our private beach and park. We are 6 miles from Squaw Valley and 4 miles north of Homewood Ski area. The Homeowners Association property consists of three and a half acres of beautifully maintained amenities such as 850 feet of lake front footage, two piers, boat buoys, picnic facilities, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, lawn area, playground equipment, basketball court, and open space. Additionally, we are very close to neighborhood restaurants Fire Sign Café and Sunnyside Lodge for dining.

Our cabin has an open living/dining area, a small well-equipped kitchen (without dishwasher), one bathroom with shower, one bedroom with a full bed, and laundry room with a washer and dryer (linens are included). Upstairs is a loft office with a twin futon and a queen bedroom. It is well furnished with high speed wireless internet, flat screen high def cable TV, stereo, CD, DVD system in the living room, a loft office, and a loft bedroom.

Our cabin is a non-smoking property and due to family allergies, we cannot allow pets.

Great base for Lake Tahoe stay!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, clean, and well equipped cabin which was perfect for our stay at Lake Tahoe. Situated in a peaceful residential area, it is just a short walk to lake shore, great deli and a handful of decent restaurants. Good trails nearby and plenty of attractions to keep everyone occupied. Clear communications from owners and easy to book. We would not hesitate to recommend the cabin to anyone looking for comfort and good value at Lake Tahoe.

Cozy little cabin near Tahoe City

  • 5 of 5

Stayed three nights in this cozy little cabin. Arrived to find gardeners trimming the bushes in the front yard. What a lovely setting with tall pines (including one growing out of the front deck), a bit of lawn and flowering bushes.

This was our first VRBO experience and we were very pleased with it. The cabin was spotless inside and out. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was there--with the exception of coffee. A short drive into Tahoe City took care of that--and we also enjoyed a lovely farmer’s market. We prepared evening meals in the small kitchen and enjoyed them on the deck. The cabin is located in a neighborhood of other cabins. We enjoyed evening walks around the neighborhood.

Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as pictured and described. Only 10 min from Squaw, 5 minutes from rental places, grocery store etc. Great place that doesn't look like it, but can easily fit 2-3 people. Super cozy and welcoming and I look forward to renting it again this winter.

Wish I could have stayed longer

  • 5 of 5

If only all vacation rentals were as tastefully decorated and clean as this adorable Tahoe cabin! I immediately felt right at home in the simple yet comfortable living space downstairs. The weather surprisingly turned chilly one day so I appreciated a fire ready wood stove. It truly does warm up the entire house. The kitchen was adequately equipped for my needs; however, with close proximity to a deli and several restaurants, I wasn't tempted to cook any meals. Unfortunately there was no cell phone reception (AT & T) in the house so I felt a bit cut off from the outside world. My phone didn't work outside the house either so this is a service issue with my phone company. Communication with the owner was excellent. He returned all messages in a timely manner. I would love to stay here again sometime.
