This two bedroom stylish apartment is probably one of the best in the area. Smartly furnished throughout with air-conditioning in the lounge and both bedrooms, plenty of fans, satellite television and free Wi-Fi it has a recently modernised kitchen and bathroom. Sliding doors lead to the shady balcony and from there 12 steps lead to the large roof top solarium. Equipped with a sunlounger for each guest, parasols, large BBQ, table and 4 chairs it is the ideal place to spend your hard earned holiday topping up your tan. There are bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Two supermarkets are a short walk away as are the stops for the buses and the Gran Alacant tourist train.

The lounge features air-conditioning & ceiling fan as well as a stylish leather sofa and 2 matching chairs, coffee table, plants, lamps, side table and pictures. For your entertainment there is a CD/Hi Fi/Radio system, 32' LCD TV with British, French, Italian & Austrian channels. The sunny and air-conditioned dining area features a dining table and four chairs with sliding patio doors leading out to a private balcony. The designer kitchen features washing machine, oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, extractor fan, microwave, coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as an iron and ironing board, plus an excellent selection of crockery and utensils.

The master bedroom featuresair-conditioning, a double bed, shelving, chest of drawers, double built in wardrobe, bedside cabinets, pictures, mirror and lamps plus both ceiling fan and cool air unit for the summer. There is also a hairdryer and a safe for your valuables.

The comfortable second bedroom has twin beds, air-conditioning, bedside cabinet, lamp, mirror and pictures plus double built in wardrobe and a ceiling fan for your comfort in the summer months.

The bathroom contains a walk-in shower, WC and basin with mirror above, as well as modern chrome fittings and an electric wall-mounted heater for winter lets. From the lounge, the private balcony with stairs leading up to the private roof terrace, is lit at night and furnished with table and 2 chairs - perfect for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening!

This fantastic apartment has mountain views from the large rooftop sun terrace which is fully furnished with 4 sun loungers, 2 parasols, side tables, large BBQ plus large dining table and 4 chairs and receives the warm Alicante sun all day round and is also lit at night.

The apartment was clean and well maintained. Very quiet area. The roof terrace brilliant sun all day. Local shops/bars and restaurants were excellent only 5 minute walk. Bed was very comfortable and everything for a good holiday was supplied. UK TV stations bonus. Used swimming pool every day clean and well maintained and was not busy during our stay.

Gran Alacant, where all our holiday rental villas and apartments are situated, is a residential area and therefore perfect for families – just a few miles south of the vibrant and beautiful city of Alicante and just to the north of the traditional Spanish seaside town of Santa Pola. Nestling in the hills above Alicante Bay, there are stunning views across to the city and the castle of Santa Barbara and northwards to the Crevillente mountains.

The few miles distance to the airport make Gran Alacant a particularly good place to stay as you can be in your holiday rental accomodation in less than an hour from landing and, because Gran Alacant is not on the flight path, there is no aircraft noise.

Gran Alacant is a mixture of villas, townhouses and apartments on a number of different Urbanisations, all with access to either private or communal swimming pools. The area is cosmopolitan with an interesting mixture of nationalities – mainly Spanish, British and Scandinavian – yet has a typical Spanish feel. This mixture is reflected in the bars and restaurants in the area. Spanish run tapas bars, fish restaurants and pizzerias mix happily with British owned bars and restaurants.

Gran Alacant has plenty to offer those looking for a relaxing holiday and also those looking for something a bit more active. With easy access to Alicante city and the excellent motorway network, there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. Less than 40 minutes by car is the exciting Terra Mitica theme park just outside Benidorm. Also for children at Benidorm is the superb water park Aqualandia which is next to Mundomar sea life centre

Gran Alacant has six good quality supermarkets and many within walking distance of our holiday rental properties. As you would expect, Gran Alacant also has pharmacies, banks (all with cash machines), panaderias (bakers), heladerias (ice cream parlours), a video/DVD rental shop, internet cafes, hairdressers, nail bar, petrol station and car/scooter rental agencies.

Night life in Gran Alacant is low key with the emphasis on good food and good wine with more than 80 bars and restaurants to choose from. From simple snacks to the various menu del dias as well as superb Indian, Italian, Japanese and Chinese food – every taste is well and truly catered for, and at good prices as well! Please see our restaurant page for full listings. Nearby Santa Pola has a good selection of restaurants from simple tapas bars to the highly recommended Batiste by the quayside. Nearby, Alicante has numerous bars, restaurants and night clubs catering for its cosmopolitan clientele. Close to Gran Alacant and just five minutes by car, is the typically Spanish resort of Los Arenales del Sol. Facing onto miles of sand duned beaches, cleaned each day, Los Arenales is a popular weekend destination for people from Alicante and families from all over Spain have holiday homes here. In the resort are plenty of bars and restaurants, some with superb views of the sea and Alicante on the other side of the bay. During the spring and summer water sports of all types are available from the beach. For beach lovers, a lazy day at Los Arenales is highly recommended.

For walkers there are a number of clearly marked trails in the El Clot Nature Park in Gran Alacant. Birdwatchers will also enjoy following the trails as there are many species to be seen at all times of the year. A little further afield there is excellent walking near the Santa Pola lighthouse whose light can be seen most evenings from Gran Alacant.

Carabassi Beach, which is one of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca is on your doorstep and all the facilities you need are close at hand.

Gran Alacant is a superb choice for basing your stay on Spain’s glorious Costa Blanca. Fantastic holiday

I found the booking process seamless, the apartment is just as described, fantastic attention to detail. The resort is quiet, however this is what we were looking for, we managed to keep our two young kids entertained with no problems. We ate in different place every night, food always good quality and value for money with plenty of choice. We had issue with the safe, we phoned the keyholder and it was sorted straight away. The apartment is very secure with excellent air-con. The English supermarket is very expensive, it is well worth walking a little bit further to the Spanish supermarket, much better value and plenty of choice. The beach is lovely. The sun terrace is an added bonus. You have the use of three pools, one being two doors from the apartment, again lovely. Last but not least the free Wi-Fi was very fast, it coped with multiple use with no buffering. Very good selection of English channels on the TV.

Very enjoyable two weeks

The apartment was actually very nice. Both bedrooms are a good enough size for a family of four, and the living room area / dining table is spot on. I thought the kitchen was a touch on the small side, but we ate out pretty much every night anyway, as there were several lovely places to eat within walking distance. The terrace and the fact that the shared pool is literally on your doorstep made the property. The beach / sea are lovely, but you do have to get the land train really, which is quite fun to be honest.
