3 bedroomed cottage to sleep 6 in the charming seaside village of Seaview

About Tim & Frances Burton
I'm a retired lawyer, now a writer, who has been coming to Seaview since the early 1960s. My parents met when they were on holiday in Shanklin and my wife, Frances, went to school in Ryde. So the Island has always been a special place for us.
Tim & Frances Burton purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Tim & Frances Burton chose Seaview
When our children were growing up, High Tide was perfect: it's a short, safe walk to the beach, the rec and the village. It is equally attractive now it is just Frances and me. From our peaceful terrace, with a cool glass of local white wine, we watch the yachts and ships go by on the Solent - and look forward to introducing grandchildren to High Tide and the Island.

We recently stayed at High Tide Cottage for a long weekend to attend a family wedding & couldn’t have had nicer accommodation. The hosts were flexible in allowing us early access so that we could drop off some luggage. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely views and quiet location. If returning to the IOW would definitely stay at High Tide again.
We spent a fantastic week here on our family holiday. As others have said the amount of space in the property isn't done justice by the photos. There was everything that we could have possibly needed, and it was pleasantly furnished. It is in a peaceful location and only a short walk down the hill to Seaview village and the beach.
We loved the views out to sea from the upstairs bedrooms. Communication from the owners was excellent too.
We hope to stay again some time.
Lovely house, great location
The house was as described. 3 good sized bedrooms. There are three loos, 2 bathrooms (both downstairs) which for families with teenagers is great. Lovely place and Seaview now has a small but well stocked community shop.
A great holiday
Lovely spacious house in an excellent location
Lovely week at Seaview
Excellent location with great views of the Solent. A comfortable and well equipped property with very versatile accommodation.
We loved the amazing views from the house watching all the activity on the water. The house was a really good size - much bigger than the photos suggested. And we really liked Seaview - a part of the island we hadn't visited before.
Seaview is renowned for sailing. As well as a leading yacht club, the village has a number of public slipways, which makes it an ideal location for messing about in boats. The village is also a centre for other water sports including windsurfing, water skiing and fishing.
The beaches at Seaview are perfect for a traditional seaside holiday. There is sand for building castles, rocks from which to go crabbing and, at low tide, rock pools for shrimping. Priory Bay, possibly the best beach on the Island, is just a 15 minute walk away from ‘High Tide’, along a peaceful footpath.
In recent years, the Island has attracted avid foodies. It has everything from fine dining to beach cafes, many featuring locally produced meat, fish, vegetables, cheeses and wines. The nearest award winning establishment, The Seaview Hotel and Restaurant, is just a short stroll away from ‘High Tide’.
