Great space for a group and dog friendly.
This was a great space. Large cabin with awesome amenities. The grill was clean and the game room was great. Be careful driving through the community and pay attention when in property, you just might see some baby deer and their family. Go slow. The only thing I would say could improve in the listing is to call out it's in a gated community. There were a lot of restrictions when it came to the number of cars and having to give ages/names of each guest. I understand, but it would be good to know ahead of time.
family vacation to celebrate moms bday
party of 14, everyone slept great. very clean and alot of extra household stuff like spices and all the dishes you need. we had a great time, our family ranged from age 8 to 65 and every person enjoyed it. we had 1 issue with the grill tank that wasnt the owners fault but they offered to come fix it at 8pm, there was a spare tank so that wasn't necessary but their response time was impeccable. we will definitely be back.
Big group needs space
We always look for a good sized house to rent for our family in July. Dream Catcher was a good fit for us. It was clean and roomy. We had some problems navigating the area with it's many twists and turns, but enjoyed the natural setting.
We had some difficulty understanding the amenities policy, but resolved it for the short time we were there.
We enjoyed the Recreation Center at Coosawatee Mountain Resorts and tubing on the Coosawatee River. The younger children liked the playground and pool best. We enjoyed visiting Ellijay on the 4th of July to see the parade and fireworks. Made another trip to fruit stands and antique stores.
Would recommend as a vacation spot if you can handle very windy roads.
Sleeps 16, amenities (pool, etc.) for only 8
Review for Dream Catcher rental in Ellijay Jun 14-17 2019
Sleeps 16, amenities (pool, etc.) for only 8
We were disappointed to discover after we had paid that the owner/manager would only provide one amenities card for our group, which only enables 8 guests to use the pool and other facilities at the resort. Even though we paid for additional guests (we initially only booked for 8), when we received a confirmation email it still said 8 for the pool, etc. We called before we left and were told by the property manager “we’ll see what we can do.” All they had to do was purchase a second card for, yet they never followed through and expected us to pay for the second card. If patrons are going to be charged for extra guests, they should be provided with access for all the guests with the additional proceeds from the per guest charge. Since use of the pool was important to us, and the listing said nothing about this limitation, we were very disappointed about this restriction and had to get another card on our own. This should be up front in the listing, not in an email a few days before arrival. There were some other minor issues (dust, LP needed for the gas grill, phone calls not returned until the next day), but really this tainted the whole experience. Sad, as it would be a small investment to do the right thing, and the card could be used by future guests as well.
This guest was upset due to wanting me to give him $85.00 to purchase a amenity card. We already give guest a full amenity card, (Free) (Which cost us $85.00) and it is clear if guest want to purchase another card they can. Its in our rental agreement, and a reminder when we send out directions. I spoke to this guest as well as our after hours person regarding giving him a free amenity card, so saying we did not return his call until the next day is totally untrue. The propane tank for the Gas BBQ grill was full, so another false statement. He never said anything to me about dust in the cabin or needing a propane tank for the grill when speaking with him. He also sent me a e-mail about he didn't have any hard feelings about me giving him the $85.00 to buy another amenity card. His false statements and 2 star review, I guess, he does have hard feelings. I feel that if I did give him the money he would have written us a good review, but since I didn't he's making untrue statements. I will not be bullied to be given a 5 star review if I paid him the money. So sad for him to taint guest with these statement to keep people from wanting to stay in our Beautiful Cabin. They did leave the cabin in good condition, and I gave them a 5 star for that. Due to this false statement, if I could change my review, I would give him a 1 star for communication, and still post this review for other property owners to see.
This cabin was great and had plenty of room for everyone. As far as kitchens in rentals go, one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen. Plenty of pans and dishes for everything we cooked. The only downside of the property is that the hot tub chemicals were off which produced a very strong odor and bleached a few people's swim suits. Check in and out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Over all we had a great time!
Great spot and neighborhood
Great spot but there were a lot of little things the house was missing. No dart board like the listing said, the pool table was very wobbly as well as the air hockey table. The couch was torn and falling apart in the living room. There was only one dish cloth in the whole house. The railing was loose on the stairs. The grill was very old.
Nothing major but it definitely needs an upgrade.
Plenty of room and great neighborhood.
I spoke to Francesca regarding these issues. The couch did have a tear in the pillow. This is a brand new couch, and seemed the threads just came out. It has been repaired. The pool table is fine, and the air Hockey table legs were loose, and have now been tighten up. We do leave 1 dish cloth. We do not offer a dart board, as they became to dangerous. The cork board is still on the wall. The grill is a 4 burner grill, and I understand only 2 of the burners were working. All 4 are working now. I told Francesca I wished she had call our office, and I would have sent maintenance over to check it out. I understand she will revise this review to a 5 star, and has already gave us a 5 star on Google. We always want out guest to be happy, and become "Return Loyal Guest" I was happy to hear she will be coming back this summer to the this cabin Dream Catcher. They also left the cabin in Great Condition, and do welcome them back. Thank you... Mountain resort Cabin Rentals
