About Carolyn Holt
Owners, Greg and Carolyn, recently bought this dream property in the hills of Tennessee. After a lifetime of living and working in Middle Tennessee (excluding a short stint in the Army and Ohio), both retired and now spend their time doing anything they want. Greg is the main apiarist on the bee farm and loves to spread the gospel of bee keeping.
Carolyn Holt purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Carolyn Holt chose Crossville
Once they laid eyes on this property, Greg and Carolyn knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives on the farm. The guest house out back allows them share their paradise with you! Everyday offers new beauty and new adventures!
What makes this Cottage unique
Enjoy fly fishing from the dock or just sit out on the porch and watch the swans. Other wildlife such as deer, cranes, and geese, (and even a lynx!) visit the property. Sit outside and watch lightening bugs and listen to the frogs croak for the most relaxing vacation you've ever had. Perfect for golfing trips, antiquing, romantic getaways, or just a day or two away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Carolyn and Greg are the kindest, most welcoming hosts. The property is gorgeous, and the Meridian House is adorable, spotless, and well stocked. 10 minutes from Cumberland State Park. We can’t wait to come back next fall!
The Bartons were a great family to stay at Meridian House. Can't wait for them to stay again!
Ultimate relaxation with an incredible view!
Carolyn and Greg were amazing hosts! They are the hidden treasure!
We felt so fortunate to have found this getaway.
It’s always hard to get the real picture with photos. This is no exception. The house is so neat, clean, and nicely decorated. The main room is much larger in person. It must be 24’ x 24’, with probably 9 foot ceilings, lovely bathroom with shower, beautiful cabinetry and sink area. The upstairs having additional beds ... very large room, and high ceilings again. The ponds are stunning against the roll of the land ... just beautiful!
My husband enjoyed fishing while I caught up on some reading. Crossville is very close for meals, and with friends and family in the area .... we enjoyed our outings .... but, were always ready to get “home” to the Meridian House!
It was wonderful to stay at a property that is smoke free and pet free. Well, the swans and ducks don’t count! They were delightful!!!
Many thanks Carolyn and Greg!

The house exceeded our expectations. It was very nicely decorated and spotless. It is in the country and the property is beautiful. You could not ask for better hosts. They make your stay even more enjoyable. We will be back.
We loved having you stay at Meridian House, you were the perfect guest! Please come again!
A scenic treat
Beautiful landscape, from the trees on the low hills to the swans swimming in the ponds. A sight for sore eyes after our first place fell through. The guest home was pristine and airy, with fresh linens and a breakfast you won't soon forget. Yet that does not compare to the warmth and hospitality of the hosts,Carolyn and Gregg. The best stay we have ever had and we've been to many B&Bs. Look no further but be careful you may not want to leave, but you can always come back, we will!
Thank you so much for the kind words! We enjoyed you staying with us as much as you enjoyed staying. We look forward to you coming back to see us.
Thanks again and take care!
Greg and Carolyn
Home away from home!
I cannot say enough great things about this place! Pictures dont do it justice. The moment we drove down the long driveway our breath was taken away an we knew we found the perfect place. Not only is the scenery beautiful so is the couple who run it! I have never felt more welcome. My 2 older boys just loved it here an cant wait to go back! From fishing, paddle boats, feeding the fish to chasing frogs they couldn't ask for more. And to top it off breakfast served every morning was amazing! I think this was all our favorite part. Because the cook was GREAT! We are already making plans to come back next year! I cant wait!
Chris, Bruce ,Sarah and boys, Thank so much for staying with us! We enjoyed sharing what we love with wonderful people, we can't wait for next year!
