About Raymond Attard
Born and Bred in Malta and Gozo! Ex air traffic controller as a profession, lately company director of an import and manufacturing company. My wife Marianne and myself manage two beautiful holiday properties one of which is Ta Mananni.
Raymond Attard purchased this Villa in 2000
Why Raymond Attard chose Qala
We converted ta Mananni way back in 1998 when we bought the land with a couple of rooms. Managed to convert to a delightful holiday villa withing two years from scratch. We recycled all the limestone which was available on site and which one can admire in today's Ta Mananni villa!
What makes this Villa unique
The beautiful swimming pool is part and parcel of the villa, one does not exist without the other!

A lovely home for 10 days in a great location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, nice home lots of space for the 4 of us, loved the pool area, everything we needed, was provided, very comfortable, and within walking distance to several great restaurants, very easy to explore further afield, & really easy to get back to Malta. Nice quiet location. Thank you for your hospitality & popping in to see us Raymaund.
Ta Mananni - total 5 star experience
We have just spent 2 weeks at Ta Mananni and did not want to leave and return to the UK. Its situation on the edge of Qala is superb, with breathtaking sea views of Malta and Comino on the doorstep. We recommend this "oasis" without hesitation. As previously mentioned by other reviewers, Raymond, the owner, was a wonderful host, who went out of his way to help us out, eg lending us his laptop so that we could book our return aircraft seats. First class in every way!
Our 2nd stay in this lovely farmhouse. Its well equipped and in a great location. The pool area is very good and where we spent all of our time. Charles the man who services the pool is unobtrusive and very nice to chat to. Still haven't managed to meet Raymond yet as we keep missing each other, but all communication via email has been responded to very quickly. We will definitely be back for a 3rd stay. Would recommend this farmhouse.
The owner responded to all my email enquiries promptly and let us use the property earlier than the arrival time of 4.00pm which was greatly appreciated.
The property was spotless and had absolutely everything we required. It was in a great location for bars and restaurants. Our particular favourite was D Bar; the fillet steak is the best! Hondoq beach was a short drive away which we enjoyed along with a music festival which was hosted during our stay and recommended by the owner.
All in all a fabulous place to stay and enjoy the beautiful island of Gozo. We hope to return soon..
Great house and location
This house has been beautifully and carefully remodeled, and is in a quiet neighborhood in a small town. The pool and patio are gorgeous and we sat out there even though it was too cold to swim when we were there. The house is a 10-minute walk to restaurants and small markets in the church square; don't miss Zeppi's for aperitifs or coffee. The owner was extremely helpful in telling us about special events (the fireworks competition!) and other sights to see, and paid us a visit from Malta. He also provided some basics in the refrigerator for our arrival in case the mini-markets were closed.
We had a wonderful stay. The villa is beautiful. Very spacious and very clean. As well as the enclosed courtyard garden and pool area, there are two terraces. The location is very convenient, just 2 mins drive from the ferry, and great places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk.
10 mins in car to Victoria with the citadel (and also Lidl!)
Raymond very helpful before and during stay. Thanks
Gozo is an open air museum with Ggantija temples in Xaghra being the most visited in the whole of the Maltese archipelago. Ramla l Hamra beach is just a ten minute drive away, whilst hondoq ir Rummien is Qala's own pebbly beach. From April to end September every town and village has got its own patron saint and celebrations are well organised especially around the week end. Sub acqua diving is also well catered for by numerous PADI affiliated schools. Marsalforn and Xlendi are the coastal resorts where most restaurants and eateries are found. Eating out is very well catered with lots of fresh fish, pasta, fresh meats and local fruit and vegetables. Local wines and olive oils are not to be missed.
To make life at an easier pace from July 2011 new bus service in all of Malta and Gozo make car hire not totally essential. Please visit www.publictransport.com.mt for more information and timetables.
