Warm and welcoming cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is, as the title suggest, very warm and very welcoming .... and is perfectly placed for the town and surrounding area.

Description is accurate, it was very clean Colin and Monica provided excellent customer service and we've already recommended the cottage to family and friends. The Albion pub is at the bottom of the street justa couple of hundred yards awy and the perfect way to end a day before going back to the cottage .... a proper pub to enjoy a drink and a natter, no music, dog friendly - no food, just the usual crips nuts and superb pork pies!!! It's sister pub is the Bridge, opposite the castle at the top of the one way system - excllent food and service can be found - both pubs are joint owned by 4 breweries and are excellent. Take a walk up onto Conwy Mountain ... walk up from the town, from Mountain Rd or drive along the Sychnant Pass road - actually at the top of Upper Gate St yards away from the cottage - drive a mile or 2 na dpark up and then walk up from the Western end ... the views once on top are breathtaking, Snowdonia to the south, Anglesaye to the west, the Orme and Colwyn Bay to the East ... and a t one point the whole of Conwy below you. Thanks to Colin and Monica for a delightful cottage.

Its like home from home & we were really sad to leave!! Colin was so very helpful & very approachable. Excellent stay - highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

The view from the balcony is just amazing in the evening - staying in an ancient city next to a castle.

The description is spot on. The cottage is wonderful, well appointed and very relaxing, both bedrooms were quite comfortable. My son loved the top bunk and thought it was cosy. There are lots of board games, tv and books for the kids (and adults).

The fireplace was wonderful to curl up in front of after a brisk day exploring castle walls and walking to LLandudno along the beach.

I must say thank you to Colin for being kind (and brave) to guide us through narrow castle walls to parking.

We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Pad for a Happy Holiday!!

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, cosy cottage in a perfect location, close to all the sights of beautiful Conwy yet very peaceful and tucked nicely away in a cute little street. We loved having breakfast on the roof terrace in the sun whilst admiring the view of the castle and the sea. The cottage was spotless and every need was catered for, including a Nintendo Wii for the kids (and big kids like us!!). Colin very kindly gave us bread, milk and a newspaper on arrival which was a really nice touch. We will definitely be returning, in fact we didn't really want to come home! A much recommend place to stay!

Charming City, Wonderful Host

  • 5 of 5

Our family hats off to Colin and the Holiday Cottage in Conwy. Our 16 and 12 year old boys still talk of it as one of their favorite stops in our two week trek across Great Britain. Colin was so helpful to us...we had to have our car towed into Conwy, repaired and returned to the rental agent. Colin went above and beyond all measures to help us work through all the details. We loved having a downstairs sitting area, kitchen and elbow room. Everything was spotless, warm and welcoming. We even figured out the washer and dryer and enjoyed having a place to refresh our tired traveling clothes! We would gladly stay here again and hope, some day to do just that. Thanks Colin for a wonderful stay. The Marquette Family

A big Thank you to Colin & Monica. A really friendly couple. The cottage was very welcoming & bright our 2 daughters loved every minute ( 3 & 6 )

Their 1st time in bunk beds so very excited. Lovely little touches...... bread, milk, newspaper & a very welcoming bottle of wine & sweeties for the girls on our arrival!! Conwy is a great location with so much to see & do. We will certainly be returning to the cottage next year & have already passed on the information to a few friends.
