A Newly Renovated 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath house close to Joseph with a Mountain View.
About Kathy Siebe
We have made Wallowa County our home for the last 35 years, and plan to spend the next 35 year here as well! Always on the go, we enjoy hiking, golfing, and being tourists in our own town.
Kathy Siebe purchased this House in 2014
Why Kathy Siebe chose Joseph
We bought this property because it was sad and rundown and we wanted to make it beautiful again. We have completely renovated it and are very happy with the results. We hope visitors will enjoy it as well.
What makes this House unique
We wanted to make this a vacation rental property because the location is perfect. It is close to the north end of Wallowa Lake where the locals swim and play and also central to the downtown Joseph. It is great fun sitting on the front porch and watching the people (and deer!) go by. The backyard is large and would be great for a volleyball game and the patio is perfect for barbecuing.

Sweet Stay in Joseph
This cute and comfortable home offers everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Joseph while you explore the town and its surrounding areas. The location is great - on the edge of town but within walking distance. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the quail scurry around and the mountains provide an inspiring view from the backyard patio. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Wild Iris House.
We had a great time hiking, playing in the lake and drinking delicious mochas from down town.....but most of all sitting on the back patio watching the sun set over the gorgeous mountains!
It Couldn't Be Better
This is a great place to stay. The reviews were right on. A suitcase rack was provided in each bedroom. That may sound like a small thing, but I grow weary of trying to balance my suitcase on a chair or clearing off the top of some piece of bedroom furniture so I have somewhere to either unload my suitcase or live out of it for short stays. The house is easy to find and the code lock on the front door makes check-in and living there easy. There were many small touches that make a stay so much more enjoyable. On the grander scale, the town is quite after 9 pm and the nights were restful. The bedrooms are separated which also helps with noise. The kitchen was well equipped and I appreciated the coffee and provided refreshments. I could go on and on, but you get it. This is one first class place to stay.
Home Away from Home!
This was a perfect place to stay while exploring Joseph and surrounding areas! We had all the comforts of home, wanting for nothing. The house sits on a main road, but you'd never know it. The hedge in from serves as a screen and buffer zone, so was quiet and private. Kathy was SO patient with my questions, and always reachable. Additionally, Joseph and surrounding areas were beautiful, as were the townspeople--SO friendly and helpful. What a perfect vacation!
Cute house, clean, nice personal touches, awesome location. Loved being able to walk downtown and to the park. Thanks for the great stay!
Great place to stay.
Very clean and comfortable house. We enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped and clean. We will try and stay here again.
