2-Bedroom, 1 Bath House In North Portland
About Leah Kohlenberg
I am an artist and art teacher who bought this house as a joint venture with my folks in 2015. I currently live and work on the property in a separate unit, and I am available if you need any help or have questions. My painting studio is housed in the detached garage. You are welcome to tour my studio if you like, just call me or knock on the door! Or book a three-hour class here, offered most Saturday afternoons

Why Leah Kohlenberg chose University Park
This is among the closest vacation rentals to the University of Portland, so if you are a visiting professor or a parent visiting a student enrolled at the school, you couldn't find a closer place to stay. There are two small parks within easy walking distance. The main portion of Columbia Park is a mile away with huge trees and walking paths and a pool and playgrounds. The neighborhood is close to downtown and to more bustling places with little shops and galleries (St. John's, Kenton, and Mississippi-Boise). There are good restaurants nearby, on Lombard and Greeley. University Park itself is a quiet green oasis. Many of the neighbors have lived here a long time. It's a peaceful place, and we are so excited to share it with you.
What makes this House unique
I love this house! It reminds me of the home I grew up in in nearby Seattle, Washington. It's a beautiful 1920s house with many lovely details, from the curved doorways to the big kitchen to the peaceful bedrooms overlooking the garden.

Great house with a lot of character, very clean with all efficiencies on hand. Aside from a little ant issue in the kitchen , we were very happy with this choice. Super comfy beds and the fireplace was amazing.
Janice, we loved having you all stay with us! So sorry about the ants, it seems our ant traps ran out of juice. The next time that happens, let us know and we'll pop right up to take care of them!
Beautiful home filled with vibrant artwork and everything you need for a short or long stay. Leah is delightful and helpful, and the neighborhood is great. Look forward to our next stay!
This quaint little house fit all of our needs. It has such a comfortable, artsy vibe to it. We will definitely be back.
Great location, clean home, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful host was readily available.
Adorable art house
House was clean and beautiful. Great location easy and cute walk to everything you need. Also good location for public transportation into downtown Portland. Kitchen is well stocked and Leah is a gracious host. Really enjoyed our stay in the art house.
We loved having you visit with us, Christina! Come back anytime!
Excellent stay in a quiet historic neighborhood
Perfect place for my family of four to unwind for a few days while visiting Portland and the surrounding areas.
Comfortable beda, a clean house and great walking choices around this historic neighborhood.
Look for the old horse tie downs and wagon wheel metal curb protectors that are still all over the area! Nice easy walk to the University of Portland was a treat too.
Would definitely stay here again and Leah was a fantastic and fun host. Cheers!
Four blocks from the University of Portland, close to St. John's, downtown, and Alberta Arts districts
