About Mrs Amanda Hollick
We are a farming family from England who fell in love with Montenegro while on holiday.
Mrs Amanda Hollick purchased this Villa in 2006
Why Mrs Amanda Hollick chose Perast
We fell in love with the beauty and surroundings of Perast when we first drove through it on holiday, and decided to buy a property here. It is like the South of France 20-30 years ago.
What makes this Villa unique
This villa is in a wonderful position right by the sea but second line so not directly on the road at the quiet end of Perast away from the tourists. This is a nice place to relax and have a lazy holiday as the sea is in front of you and restaurants a few minutes walk.

Great Weekend in Perast
We stayed at the villa for three nights (3 adults, 2 kids) and had a wonderful stay. The villa is very comfortable and an easy walk to all the sights in town. It's also an easy drive too many of the other places to see in Montenegro. We used it as our staging area and spent the weekend exploring the area. We highly recommend it!
Great base from which to explore the area
We had a lovely week in Perast and were very happy with Villa Hollick. We found it comfortable, clean and in a nice quiet location, yet only one row back from the waterfront. Maybe we were particularly lucky with the weather, it was certainly better than we expected for end April/early May, but we were able to make full use of the terrace for breakfast and drinks in the evening. We didn't really cook at the house as there were quite a few restaurants within walking distance of the villa, one or two were still shut but the advantages of being there early in the season was that we were able to park on the waterfront without any problem, only a few steps from the house. We explored a lot of the area duing our week but felt Perast was the most beautiful village on the Kotor Bay.
Thank you very much Alec and Deb so pleased you enjoyed Montenegro so much. Amanda
Villa Hollick in Perast
My husband and I spent a week at Villa Hollick in Perast in August 2010. Perast is a wonderfully pretty village with just the right number of bars and restaurants to give variety while maintaining tranquility. Our favourite was Hotel Conte Nautica's restaurant - great service, wonderful food - we felt like regulars by the end of the week.
Perast's setting in the bay of Kotor is simply spectacular. I don't think I'd ever tire of the view of the bay and I really hope Montenegro manages to maintain its beauty and does not allow the environment and water to be degraded by over use of speed boats and too many tourists. Perast is perfectly located to explore the bay of Kotor. We're a very lazy couple on holiday and for this reason we didn't bother hiring a car (we took a taxi from Dubrovnik airport) but we were still able to move around the bay very easily via the local bus service. Kotor is well worth a a visit - a really beautiful old town which is not quite as overloaded with tourists as Dubrovnik. I heard Kotor gets very loud and busy at night times - Montenegrins like their dance music - so I was pleased to not be staying there for the night.
The villa itself is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, a lovely terrace and satellite TV. We much appreciated the DVD player during the hot lunchtime hours and managed to watch the entire Sopranos series one while we were there. Swimming from outside the villa is nice and there are lots of places to sunbathe on the seafront. It was very hot while we were there so we tended to spend our days on the shady terrace.
Much like my comments about the bay of Kotor generally the Perast authorities need to make sure that the village stays clean - littering and open bins do seem to be a problem there but I would say that's the only negative point about our visit. We'd highly recommend Perast and Villa Hollick - a truly delightful place to stay.
Perast is situated in the Boka Kotorska one of the four Montenegrin seaside regions, made up of four beautiful bays, it is adorned by historic towns and surrounded by wild and rugged mountains. This stunning Fjord the only one in the Mediterranean is a true visitors delight, full of scenic variety, charm and exploring potential.
Perast has two jetty style beaches each end of the village, nearby are some nice stone beaches with water sports available in July and August.
There are a host of activities available in Montenegro: Kayaking, diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, boat trips, walking, hiking.
Kotor a UNESCO World Heritage Monument is situated at the bottom of the Bay of Kotor. The old town has managed to keep its medieval Mediterranean atmosphere with narrow, zigzag streets and churches dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Kotor has a daily fresh market with a large market on a Saturdays.
