Wade and Patricia Evans
About Wade and Patricia Evans
We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.
Wade and Patricia Evans purchased this Recreational Vehicle in 2011
Why Wade and Patricia Evans chose Hot Springs
When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 3 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before.
What makes this Recreational Vehicle unique
We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.

This was the best week ever. My husband and I love camping and this was perfect. We didn't have to drive our rv and we got to camp. Wade and Patricia are the best. They have built a wonderful vacation spot.
Beautiful, Remote Location with Amazing Views!
Our family visited for a week and were blown away by the views. The camper was as advertised and came with absolutely everything we needed as well as some things we hadn't even thought of needing! The few times anything arose where we needed assistance, Patricia and Wade were immediately available to assist us. Our 9 year old enjoyed hitting pine cone "baseballs" off the cliff with a stick and our 3 year old loved the teepee and wide open field behind the camper to run around in. Also, they both enjoyed the amazing views of stars that we dont get being from a bigger city. I do want to mention a few things that caught us off guard with the location that would be positives for a majority of guests but worth a mention! The location is about 30 min of low-speed driving outside of Hot Springs half on pavement, half on gravel roads with significant inclines and some very steep switchbacks. We did it multiple times a day with a Ford Fusion Hybrid, but it could be an issue with someone not used to driving on gravel. Also, about 10-15 feet in front of the camper is a significant cliff face which lends to the amazing views but added some anxiety to a person with heights issues travelling with small children (it looks like more of a gradual incline in the photos and the same thought was expressed by a family staying in one of the other campsites on the property also travelling with small children that we met while exploring the beautiful property). Again, a non-issue to most but worth a mention to those who might have the same fear as me! Overall our family had a great week enjoying the camper and the surrounding amenities and our two boys had the time of their lives!
We loved staying in this quiet, relaxed location for our first trip to South Dakota! The RV was well stocked and very comfortable. The small hot tub overlooking the valley was such a nice surprise. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Hot Springs, SD.
If you want something quiet, relaxing, love looking at the wonderment of the location, then this is for you. :)
I would stay again.
Paradise on the Cliff!
Wade & Patricia were great hosts with a wonderful experience that you won't forget!! A++
We cannot say enough good stuff about Wade, Patricia & Evans Cliff! The pictures of the view from the camper really don't do it any justice--it is absolutely breathtaking. I was up every morning at sunset to take in the sunrise, and we made sure we were back by sunset every evening, because the colors are beautiful. The location was great for all of our adventures: Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and a day at the Badlands. Wade & Patricia were more than accommodating. They make sure you have everything you need to make your stay that their property comfortable. And if you do happen to need anything while you are there, they are very prompt to respond and remedy the issue. The camper was VERY comfortable, the hot tub was a lot of fun, and the hammocks were definitely my favorite place to hang. We will be making our way back some day!! It was simply magical.
